But our friend and my parents had a tricky time when they organised their own demo guys. My parents one left the site with lots of rubbish and the builders didnt accept it so we had to clean out the place ourselves. As for our friend who built with Metricon, he had to run around town doing gas, electric and even had to organise fence hire However if theres a demo group of guys that incorporates all this lesser the margin then thats definitely a win Did you have to get a few quotes before you settled with Demo Corp? Were Rawson happy with what was left? And is there any way I can find out who usually does the Demos for Rawson? Re: KDR with Rawson Homes - The Edge 39 MKI (Sydney) 360Jun 14, 2016 5:00 pm Re builders margin I think what was being implied is if you get the builder to do it they will charge that margin so will be more expensive. That said they would also get volume/preferred customer discounts so from a consumers perspective probably about the same price at the end of the day. Same is true for lots of things with builders where people think they will get it cheaper doing it themselves but reality is many things if it is cheaper it is only marginally so and depending upon what it is maybe not worth the hassle. The danger doing it yourself is what you mentioned where your own contractor hasn't done it to a good enough standard and the builder or someone else needs to do remedial work. Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13444 Just started the Build process for Chifley 42 with Rawson homes, will keep you all posted with the Build progress. 0 2452 |
