I requested the doors not be stained on the at my Tender appointment and was refused. 1st of June
I took this up with admin on the 15 June
I got a reply to this advising of the $760 fee on the 29th of June.
I argued it obviously and was told they were working on it till 9th July
Which was the day my contract signing was scheduled... got a phone call from management who didn't seem to understand what I wanted in spite of multiple emails and was told they would take it up with the estimation department .
Was asked what stain I wanted to use and was it oil based, brand etc 10th July.
Responded with required information and later that night emailed again saying that they can paint them same color as the skirtings if it was such a drama.. as long as I didn't have to pay extra, I was just over it!!
Well .. we rescheduled my contract signing for 16th July.. this Thursday!!
I still have NO ANSWER on the doors and do not have the contract to go over!
I advised them I would be having an independent builder go over my contract and needed time... well.. since there is no communication about the doors.. I guess there will not be an expressed envelope in the mail tonight, for me to receive and organise with my independent builder/inspector.. so can I assume.. I have this Thursday free again!!?!??? WTF!!
I am so over this.. it's so simple.. yet become a circus!
Snyde, I'm sorry I hadn't logged in .. hadn't seen your post.. sounds simple doesn't it.. give them the stain!! dare I even suggest it! Henley may go into meltdown.
Hi Klubear,
You made me laugh when you mentioned henley and their brown houses lol! that is so true we felt the same way!
I think they are not getting what you are trying to say.. trust me this has happened to us so many times they just don't understand no matter how straight forward you are! Our admin didn't even understand a simple extra switch we wanted.. The only thing we wanted was to put two lights on a seperate switch so they can be opened seperately if we wish to! How hard is this to unserstand. we drew and labelled the lights and showed where we want the switch and scanned it to her... seriously don't know how they employ these people. Anyways we ended up booking an electrical appointment.
Anyways, what I was trying to say is it sounds like they are not understanding you.. Tell them you wont sign the contract untill this issue is resolved watch them resolve the issue straight away.. Did you ask why they are trying to get a different door for you? How did they justify this? We have the timber stacker doors too, before the stain the doors looked fine.. they can easily leave it this way for you.. they can just install the same door and leave it alone.. Oh yeah sorry I forgot they need to make money from every little thing they can!
How can they not get certificate of occupancy for a door stain when they can get certificate of occupancy for leaving flooring our of all bedrooms and entry living dining area for us.. Just sounds stupid..
