Hi All,
This is my very first thread but I have been reading thru' some of the posts and have always found it helpful. I am here as I thought would definitely find some help to move forward in our building process
We always wanted a custom home and had been working on the design for over a year now. And finally when we are happy, we have send the plans for Architectural Review Committee of our estate and they have come back saying we have to change our facade.
There are other houses in the estate which has got the same type of facades and they all got approved and built. I have emailed the review committee stating the fact that there are other similar houses built in the estate, but they din't even address that . Instead again has sent us an email saying we need to make the changes if it needs to be approved.
We went and talked to our neighbours who have built similar facade and they never had this problem from ARC.
Reading thru' some websites, I cam to know about lodging a Conciliation with the council, but not sure if that would take issues with ARC. Is there any other way to handle this situation.
Can some one please guide us as to what to do next as this is the first time we are building a house
