Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 23, 2015 2:13 pm Hello, I have a bit of an issue with the boundary of my land. i have purchased a block and on the site plan i signed it states a retaining wall will be at the back of the property (there is already existing houses at the back). i have just found out there is a new site plan where it states a retaining wall has been built 500mm off set to the boundary. To me this means i own the deadspace between the existing fence and my retaining wall. I have not been advised of this amendment so I emailed the person i purchased the land from but they will not reply to my emails at all. i want to go out to the block and actually measure to see if i have lost any land but im not sure where the boundary at the front of the property is! My block has a footpath out the front, would that be the boundary? Please help!! These are usually painted white with your lot number printed on them and the top of the peg has indentations as to exactly where boundary for your lot is. My front survey pegs are set back from the edge of the footpath by about 100mm. A survey must’ve completed by a certified surveyor.
