Thanks llomas. You'd be settled in now. How exciting Bricks, plaster, cupboards, skirting done. Tiles started in main bathroom, toilet, laundry and ensuite. Kitchen and bathroom vanities delivered. Hopefully painters do there thing before the year's end then the tiler can finish off the living area in the new year. Re: Coral Homes slightly modified Longreach 88Dec 12, 2015 2:50 pm Our builds seem to be running in sync your daydream is coming along awesome Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Coral Homes slightly modified Longreach 89Dec 17, 2015 7:57 pm We are locked out noooooooooooooo! Don't like the colour of the garage door but it is what it is. Hopefully it will blend in with the concrete. Painters are powering along. Started yesterday and house has full undercoat and out side has had its first coat. They are machines. Wish the tiler had the same get up and go. Re: Coral Homes slightly modified Longreach 90Dec 17, 2015 8:26 pm Good heavens coastal your house is powering on!!!! It's all looking fab, love the double hung windows in the ensuite, very clever idea . Ohhhh boo to being locked out that's . Maybe the garage door will grow on you?? I didn't like ours to start with and should of gone dark but meh it doesn't matter now. Wow your painters are going great, your tiler might need a bit of paint fumes to get him going Re: Coral Homes slightly modified Longreach 91Jan 01, 2016 9:47 am Thanks tribe! I hope you had a great festive season in your house!
Yes don't like being locked out. Painting is finished really happy with the colours. Not so happy with the tiles we chose for the bathrooms but we will wait till they are grouted and everything is in before we pass final judgement. It is what it is. Tiler is back Monday to do the main floors. We are really happy with the quality of his work so far so I hope he keeps it up. We have been given an estimate of mid February to end of feb. painter said that it is looking like it will be the end of Jan. We will see. Have a great 2016 to anyone watching this thread! Coral Homes slightly modified Longreach 92Jan 01, 2016 9:52 am Hi boat falls as promised. Now seeing the holes for the lights we have gone one too many lights in the entrance and probably not enough for the main hall. We also probably have too many lights in the living area. Struggling to work out how to get two fans in there. Sparkie would not do a cash job and charged more than other sparkies although he didn't need to get up in the roof so we will get someone else to do the fans after handover on principal. Bricks due to be delivered Monday. We will build the deck and driveway ourselves after handover. Ensuite window with wrong frosting has been replaced. Painting finished week before Christmas we have used white exchange quarter. Do you have a thread yet? Re: Coral Homes slightly modified Longreach - tiles 98Jan 11, 2016 8:38 pm No worries boatfalls. Do you have a thread how did your electrical appointment go? Re: Coral Homes slightly modified Longreach 100Jan 12, 2016 7:33 pm Thanks MrsJM and Tribe Bricks arrived last week but brickey hasn't been back to put them back up. We just got a new supervisor (number 3 ) so hopefully they haven't forgotten the gaping hole on the side of the house Met the new supervisor and the construction manager yesterday and they seemed like nice helpful people. Tiles finished in ensuite and bathroom. The grouting brought us a sigh of relief as it tied all the tiles together. Pre-grout we were freaking out! Tiler yesterday completed a big chunk of the rest of the house but was a no show today. I think that's his shift, 1 day on 6 off So close but so far Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13775 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4352 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74715 |
