Great that they got so much done Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works start 89Sep 10, 2015 10:40 am Great news Mellianne! And they've done loads too! Not long now and you'll have a slab ! Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works start 90Sep 10, 2015 4:19 pm Fantastic photos - love the long driveway! You'll have a slab in no time Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works start 91Sep 12, 2015 9:52 pm Thanks everyone.. It was all very exciting!! We laid out the water line before heading home and took lots of pics so we can document where the service trench runs, water line join location, where Septics are etc. Hopefully the sparky has run his cables up to the house/shed site before the site works contractor returns Tuesday so he can back fill the trench. Also hoping we will have and idea when the slab will go down for the site works contractor so he can do his final trim. I am so happy with our contractor.. Nothing has been a problem and he is more than happy to work around the builders schedule. Must admit I will be glad when I can step back from this side of the build and let RSH take over the rest and do all the organising..lol Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works start 92Sep 13, 2015 10:57 am Congrats on site works starting, that's very exciting. Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works start 95Sep 16, 2015 12:37 pm Great that you have such a great contractor, makes a big difference to have no worry about the work getting done around the builders schedule Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works start 96Sep 16, 2015 1:21 pm Following your build, great to see progress! Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works start 97Sep 18, 2015 5:47 pm Bonnie_p Wow lots of progress, love the photos! We are just about to buy a ride on, what type did you get? Hi Bonnie, We got a Cox Lawnboss from Midland Mowers. Very happy with it. Our grass was about knee high we had a lot of wild geranimum bushes growing and it didn't struggle at all. Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works start 98Sep 18, 2015 6:04 pm So our job has been handed over to our construction manager We have spoke with him before and feel pretty confident he will do a great job. Every time we have called him he has been able to answer our questions and give advice. Our frames are booked to arrive on site first week of November and the slab should be down at the beginning of October. House should be done by Feb/ early March We got the final working plans back this week and I wasn't happy with how the overhead cupboards were reconfigured. We are having a slide out rangehood and previously the cupboards over the range hood (middle of wall) were slightly larger than the group of cupboards either side but it all looked even and symmetrical. The introduction of the pot drawers in lieu of cupboards on one side of the oven meant the oven and the overhead range had been moved to the right more which had resulted in the right hand side overhead cupboards being narrower leaving three lots of different size overhead cupboard. The OCD in me couldn't handle the lack of symmetry so I rang our sales rep and he agreed it didn't look right and offered a solution I am happy with. So far I am impressed all round with RSH and their customer service. There seems to be a real focus on this being "your house and you need to be happy with it". Nothing has been problem and no extra charges for a couple of things we have changed since receiving the final drawings (other than the cost of the change themselves) Ok going to catch up on everyone's builds, flat out at work this week and haven't had a chance to look at H1 Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works start 99Sep 18, 2015 9:35 pm It is so great that you have a good construction manager. Makes all the difference. You must be so relieved that it is all in his hands now Good thing you were able to change your cupboards too! The kitchen is the one thing you want to get right isn't it?! Your builder sounds really good. Great time frame for the build too, your home should fly up! Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works start 100Sep 19, 2015 3:52 am Congratulations on being moved to construction I understand how you'd have wanted symmetry - I had to fight against my OCD side to do what we did in our ensuite lol. Really happy you've had a resolution that works for you, and I'm with jelbell - sounds like you've got a great builder! Hi, Have used the Dulux 1 step, oil base on my walls(white set), out of can it’s already a more thinner product than a final coat paint Also in water base Water or… 3 5024 Thanks mate, is there a standard off the shelf type breathable product I can apply DIY?
