Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Prestart complet 62Aug 04, 2015 10:49 am Ooh I missed that you had a tap!! Fingers crossed for progress soon. Good to hear you got the earthworks sorted too! Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - site works booke 63Aug 16, 2015 11:36 am Our site works are tentatively booked for the week of 24th August, we were originally going to start this coming week but we have had a hold up with finance approval because the valuer went and valued the wrong property (WT??! ) So as of Friday he still hadn't come through with the new valuation so we have delayed start RSH are ready to start building as soon as we are so this waiting is driving me nuts!! In the meantime we have finalised colours for the shed and I think I have decided on the main internal colour (Dulux Casper white half) Dh can't understand my obsession with colour.. 'just pick a white they all look the same to me" Poor man doesn't have a sense of colour tone at all Hopefully next post includes some pics of a pile of dirt in the form of a house pad Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 64Aug 16, 2015 12:40 pm I feel your pain when it comes to the bank i was hoping we would have action on our site this month but with all the delays we have had with our paperwork i cant see it happening. Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 65Aug 16, 2015 5:14 pm OMG how ridiculous to value the wrong property! Looking forward to the sand pad pics Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 66Aug 18, 2015 10:37 pm So our broker rang today and said the new valuation (on our property this time!!) had (finally) come in... but .... at quite a bit less than what we needed it to and what he felt it should be at. Decided it didn't make sense and went over the valuation himself and it looks the dimwit valuer hasn't included our variations?!! He has gone back and pointed out the error and requested it be revised. So we are back to waiting for the valuation....again Looks like we will be delaying things another week .. if we get going at all Feeling a little over it all right now. Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 67Aug 18, 2015 10:43 pm Oh flippin eck Mellianne! Sounds like the broker needs to get a new valuer. Fingers crossed for third time lucky! Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 68Aug 18, 2015 10:45 pm Not again! Hang in there mellianne5, I am sure he will get it right this time, so annoying to have to wait again for another week. Grrrrr oh my gosh how infuriating! I really really hope you don't have any more of these stupid red tape hold-ups - we had a slight issue with our valuation too and some other codes stuff so I so understand how ugh it is. I'll keep everything crossed that it'll soon be something in the seemingly distant past that you'll hardly remember because you'll have weekly progress to report to us lot x Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 71Sep 01, 2015 7:45 pm A quick update from me.. after a few hiccups our finance was finally approved last week. Luckily we were on our way to the block and were able to sign the papers that day. All we need now is the go ahead from our builder to start site works which should hopefully come through next Monday. We are now the owners of a ride on lawn mower, much to my son's delight, and spent Saturday mowing 5 acres of 'lawn'. Was so nice to sit back at the end of the day and are it all looking tidy.. I'm sure that will end once construction starts! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I'll catch up on everyone's builds tonight.. work has been insanely busy! Your land looks amazing! Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 73Sep 01, 2015 9:54 pm Glad your finance has gone through. Now its up to the builder ☺ Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 74Sep 05, 2015 3:45 pm Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 75Sep 05, 2015 5:01 pm Fab!!! Just need the go ahead and you're all good!! Fun times with mower as well! I'm trying to convince DH we need one of the mini tractors so we can keep on top of our firebreaks. Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 76Sep 05, 2015 9:30 pm Ahh yes firebreaks are something we will have to get to soon. We are going to spray them in a few weeks to kill off the grass and weed and then probably get the kids to do a few laps on the quad lol Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 77Sep 05, 2015 9:53 pm Dragging old tyres attached to the back of a ute works as well. DH reckons I should pull them round "biggest loser" boot camp style and kill two birds (or maybe just me) with one stone Lol!! Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 78Sep 05, 2015 11:11 pm Haha nikki that made me giggle - could just picture it!!! mellianne - congratulations on your finance being approved fingers crossed they start very soon I'm very very jealous of the mower, it looks like it must be so much fun Re: Forever home on 5 acres near Lancelin - Site works booke 79Sep 06, 2015 5:50 pm nikkis2000 Fab!!! Having to convince a male to buy a tractor?? Unheard of!!! Having to convince a male to buy a tractor?? Unheard of!!! Haha to be fair it comes down to $$ and he stills wants a toy. He wants a quad but I think it's worth saving up for the tractor. The little ones still have pto shafts which make them more versatile.
