Re: Building with Metricon 5347May 22, 2017 1:30 pm Hi All, It seems that M have decided to save a few pennies and only half sheet wet areas in Villaboard. I was rather surprised by this as I was told all wet areas would be sheeted with Villaboard not plasterboard. Our independent inspector didn't have any concerns with it so that reassured us If your unsure just arrange an inspection for waterproofing Re: Building with Metricon 5349May 22, 2017 2:04 pm Thanks Emmz70, Hmm, interesting. Just seems an unnecessarily cheap way to build. Most laundrys will have a leak at some point and I am just surprised that they would use plasterboard in those areas. The cost v benefit is just unwarranted. Also I noted a whole heap of my precious and costly insulation in the bin... and on the floor. Clearly their contractors couldn't give AF. Aside from buy a thermal imaging camera, any other suggestions on how to tell where there is missing insulation? They are the Atura tiles in barramundi colour. We got the upgrade, as they were flatter and the cost was about $700 extra.
