Just wondering if this sounds reasonable seeing as the whole upstairs is cladding Why are the charging you for cat 1? Cat 1 is usually included in the price of the house? viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: Building with Metricon 6244Sep 25, 2017 4:01 pm Doulton777 Jayjay84 Hey guys I just received my externals and brick upgrade was 6k for cat 1 and 22k for cat 9. Yes the tilers are sub standard it seems. I asked an old mate of mine who's dad is an old skool and experienced tiler (also italian) to come and check out the tiling job one weekend. I learnt a lot about tiling! He spent over 2 hours with me checking the 3 bathrooms, Laundry and alfresco. One of the things he noticed is that the first row of floor tiles is never a full tile meaning they cut tiles twice for each end of the room. In his opinion, the first row of tiles should be a whole tile, especially if its a large format, so that the majority of what you see on the floor is the nice big tile and thus the uneven cut tile for the final row laid can be hidden under a vanity and so not as obvious. I don't know if that's right or not, but that made sense to me. What seems to happen is that M starts tiling in the shower recess first and then spreads outward in order to keep the grout lines straight. This results in cut tiles on either end of the room. Very. That's excellent that you know someone who could do that. You are right, they do start from the shower base, which leaves a small row of tiles. I have come to terms with the small row as long as they make it even and straight. How did you go with yours? Have you approached M? If so could you please share your ecperience. Thanks Re: Building with Metricon 6249Sep 28, 2017 12:06 am Hi All Could someone please share some photos of EPS rendered cladding to first floor. In my plans i have EPS rendered cladding to all elevations of first floor and i thought it was the cladding slats which i dont like but have now realised its a smooth rendered finish similar to hebel. Is that correct? I have my external appointment on Friday and would really appreciate any help. I had asked for entire FF to be upgraded to brick and than i was going to render it in future but if the finish is similar to hebel might save myself some cash. Thanks Re: Building with Metricon 6250Sep 28, 2017 1:03 am DRT Hi All Has anyone had CSC with initials JP in Sydney. If so could you please share your ecperience.
