Hoping you can help me with a query I have. Currently tossing up between under mount or a Statesman We are getting a Statesman too but M won't do it so we have to buy it separately and install post handover Metricon Liberty 45, Ryde NSW viewtopic.php?t=82846 So Metricon will allow you to install stove and rangehood post handover?
Yeah, the only decision I'm still thinking about is whether I get M to do the ducting or the Qasair installer to do it cause I heard the ducting for Qasair is bigger than the standard that M provides. Also we were told by our Qasair supplier that if we use an accredited Qasair installer. We get a longer warranty period.. Metricon Liberty 45, Ryde NSW viewtopic.php?t=82846
I did what you did, that's were my drama started. I originally requested M to quote and install Qasair and Vzug in place of the standard. It was so expensive that we decided to install the Vzug post handover and keep the Qasair as it was an under mount. Which would have been too hard to do it post handover as it resides inside the cabinets. This is where M increased the price of the same unit by $1,500 dollars. Saying that they got the unit pricing wrong and had to increase it. So if anyone has a Qasair installed, I would appreciate if you can share your pricing. Re: Building with Metricon 4705Feb 21, 2017 8:04 pm Spotme Hello lovely people Well, I've got news! Slab was poured today and no one even told us about it! Not complaining that the build's finally started, but the lack of communication at this very beginning does not keep me hopeful for the future! My neighbour sent a message as she saw the slab on this morning, lol. Glad she thought of telling me! Ta By the way WOOHOOOOO Finally I join the league of people talking about their build and showing off pics Congrats spotme. Even i dont remember being informed of an exact date for slab pour, but my SM did give me a call to let me know an approximate timeframe. Has your SM not spoken to you guys yet? Needless to say, the invoice will surely announce its way to you without the slightest delay! Maybe that's what Metricon is charging too? Re: Building with Metricon 4711Feb 22, 2017 8:51 pm Anyone else getting charged a fee for infills above wall cabinetry? One would think this is standard...seem absurd Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85381#p1630392 Re: Building with Metricon 4712Feb 22, 2017 9:10 pm qldben Spotme Hello lovely people Well, I've got news! We got a call later in the day from the SS. He gave hubby an indication of timelines etc. we will be meeting him by end of this week. Yeah It's a line item in the contract! "Laminate finish infills above cabinetry" Are infills not standard? Anyone else being charged for this? Question, are they running the down pipe from the roof over the entrance inside the pillar or outside? We've asked for inside and been told it might not be possible, yet I've seen it on three builds Our Bayside KDR Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78298 Re: Building with Metricon 4718Feb 23, 2017 9:38 am Spotme Thanks Ben Haha spot-on, slab barely started drying and admin shot the invoice to us by the afternoon.. Mine contacted once the site scrape was done, prior to the slab, which is what i would have expected. Our SM has been quite regular with updates, so am quite grateful about that. I've been informed the cladding should be complete this week. I would head out today for a drive-by during lunch to have a look at how things are going.
