Re: Building with Metricon 4403Jan 27, 2017 11:14 pm beac_faith Emmz70 Does anyone have any suggestions on what window coverings are good for kitchen window splash backs?? Or is it better to get them tinted?? While enquiring about blinds today I found out they actually do splashbacks. Just not sure how well it will cope in all that grease and stuff Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We had external awning blinds on our splashback like that. It's beautiful, I'd probably would have gone with this house if it was available when I first signed. oh wells. House details -> http://www.metricon.com.au/new-home-designs/qld/allure What makes it different to the other designs is the voids around the house. Wow what a grand home Thanks for posting pics Made me have a re look into our plans to see if I can squeeze in any voids into our tiny metro 32 Sure would make it handy for communicating between floors! "What's that honey? You forgot your xxxxx? Sure I'll throw it down the void to you...here catch!" Probably end up being a storage area lol I'd be using it as a study the way we've modified our Metro we don't get a study area anymore! We now have to use one of the bedrooms as study Re: Building with Metricon 4409Jan 28, 2017 11:37 am Renman Dulie, Would you miss not having the extra bedroom and bathroom compared to your design? Yeah pros and cons with every design. I'd probably turn one of them living spaces into a room with the Allure. beac_faith Wow!!! I love it!! Is this in Rochedale? KIV for next build, D Negative, this is out at Brookwater. New development area. Just wondering why there isn't many people building Hampshire with Provincial facades in Sydney and Brisbane? Seems like there's more Liberty and Glendale. Sorry if it's a stupid question. It was just a observation that I picked up. Re: Building with Metricon 4412Jan 28, 2017 12:23 pm My guess it's cost as being the most expensive facade in the range...coupled with the fact this is a more traditional / royal looking facade and I think people may be favouring the more contemporary look? Well that's my thoughts anyway:-) My Phoenix by Metricon in Melbourne viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83584&p=1570829&hilit=my+phoenix+by+metricon+in+melbourne#p1570829 Re: Building with Metricon 4413Jan 28, 2017 12:36 pm Would love the Provincial facade, just can't afford it, gotta draw the line somewhere! hehe Re: Building with Metricon 4414Jan 28, 2017 3:53 pm I actually like the Verve facade the most as its more modern looking. @Orph Build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Home Furniture: viewtopic.php?t=80551 Technology Hub: viewtopic.php?t=83663 Landscape Design: viewtopic.php?t=80645 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Building with Metricon 4415Jan 28, 2017 4:24 pm I do too, that's why I chose the verve! I saw a TV show and they mentioned that French Provincial facades were only locally located in inner suburbs of Melb, interesting that it's not popular elsewhere in Aus. Of course the more you read, the more you pick on things - so 90 LM is length of 90 metres right?? Our home is 23m, land 42m.. so should be have been charged for this? Unless it's a typo and Metricon should've stated 9.0LM. Ta I believe lineal metre is the total length not one side.. so you need front+back length+42+42 = X.. so you need X (which I assume is greater than 90) lineal metre fence...
