I sent an email complaint to their site manager with photos but he didn't do anything about it or apologise so I put a temporary fence up to prevent them from doing it. ------- Metricon Aria https://ourlittlearia.wordpress.com/ Re: Building with Metricon 3739Oct 18, 2016 6:31 pm Spotme Hebel v/s bricks with Metricon Those who went for bricks rather than Hebel which is part of the free render promo, would you please share why you chose bricks? I have done reading across a few pages but have not reached any conclusive reason as to why Hebel is better or worse than bricks. The info is conflicting as well, as I've read that insulation-wise it's better and elsewhere I read that it's worse.. We initially opted for Hebel but thinking of switching to bricks (we just signed the tender). Our main reason is based on reviews that 1. the cracks that seem to appear on Hebel rendering after a few years 2. We can't find positive reviews of homeowners who have had it for a long time 3. Hebel apparently needs yearly maintenance, plus paint of course We decided on brick due to the maintenance required with hebel and we were also told that you can't hang anything heavy off it i.e. Wall hung clothes lines etc. Re: Building with Metricon 3740Oct 18, 2016 7:25 pm pj87 A quick question the builder next door to my land has been using my land as access to there property. and having been having deliveries on my land. It is a standard practice and your builder might do the same.. my neighbour's builder used my block for access and storage..my builder using my other neighbour's block for access...to me, it is just we human beings helping each other...The difference is, some builders take due care and some don't... The crossover in front of your house is your responsibility but it is owned by the council...just let the council people know the crossover is damaged...
