I'm undecided We went for 2.7m ceilings to both levels and are really happy that we did. It makes the space so much roomier. We would have liked 3m ceilings but at that point you need structural steel and the price increases exponentially . Biggest things were raising ceiling, extending alfresco, widening garage, changing ensuite layout, cat 5 stone to kitchen and the data cabling/package! To be honest we are very happy with everything we are getting for the price! We looked around a few times at other builders and even though they seemed to include more, by the time we did blinds and driveway as included in package they ended up about $20k more expensive! I'll have to work out where we're at so far...

Build thread - viewtopic.php?t=81517 Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition That's it! m have such great priced homes, so you can get a bit more upgrades in that sense. I'm just worried about over capitalising in our area We didn't even spend much at electrical and haven't got to choose our own tiles, so I don't want to imagine what the cost would be if we did that appointment lol Re: Building with Metricon 1970Mar 04, 2016 8:44 am In scared to look. We added an extra bedroom and ensuite. Repositioned the rumpus and extended the study to turn into a media room. Think we are $105k Monday I have kitchen and internal colours. Friday is electrical, tiles and carpets. Re: Building with Metricon 1971Mar 04, 2016 9:01 am We made provisions of $20k for electricals and $15k on top of the main flooring package ($6.5k for basic tiles & carpets) for tiles and carpet upgrades. @ Orph build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Dream Metricon Glendale 38 (Sydney)! Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Building with Metricon 1972Mar 04, 2016 9:38 am At Studio M we got block out blinds put on all the bedrooms so that we could sleep in the house immediately. For 5 windows it was $750ish. We thought we'd save money by doing the media room and kids leisure area (3 windows) ourselves after handover... but no! Studio M was MUCH cheaper! Priced blinds at Spotlight and Bunnings and they were going to be $300 - $375 a window. So I got in touch with Studio M and asked if we could order more blinds, they passed our details on to their supplier (Lovelight). Lovelight got back to us and it will be $682 for those 3, which is cheaper than other options but still not as cheap as having it done at Studio M. It was quite simply though as Lovelight had our plans and measurements already.
