If they already know what to expect they may include fixed site costs. But it would almost certainly be more than $5k. Ask them for a breakdown of exactly what that covers. It isn't a constant. for example, some sites no cut, some little cut , some big cut and some big cut and take soil away. Then there is rock, this rock, that rock, harder or softer, more of it or less. Is rock the same issue when one is stumping? No. But we also must consider BAL, soil conditions, slope, proximityof neighbouring properties, water, power, sewer or SWD, gas, termites, and a fair bit more. So we cannot generalise. As BIMStructuralGuy says, wW need clear and concise details spelled out in the contract don't we? Including the site cut, digging, slab preperation, rock removal, etc. That sucks! Hope it all works out. Good to move away from steel anyway for all your reasons, but it's also thermally poor. 16 17858 As is per usual for many of the past failed RWH regulations, it is probably traceable to a bureaucrat who's ego overrode the need to seek the appropriate expert… 1 1002 I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13098 |
