Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 30, 2008 9:46 am I have handover today and I'm hoping someone knows whether these things not being done mean I can refuse handover.
My house is in a development of 24, mine being the first to be finished. Part of the package was landscaping to be included. As of yesterday the fence around my yard wasn't done and the driveway (theres one on each side and I can only access mine through one) has been done except for the part where you enter the driveway (council land), is this something the builders are supposed to do if they do all the landscaping or the council? I think they'll have enough time to do the fencing this morning since all the posts are in, but I'm not sure about the driveway especially because its been pouring all morning. I'd check my original contract - landscaping could mean anything! After 4 years - we're in! Re: Handover- Urgent Question 3Jun 30, 2008 10:22 am I rang the council and they said they do it, but it'll take approx a week depending on the weather. As this is a development I would've thought the builders would have spoken to council about this, I will be expressing my displeasure today.
This means it'll make my flooring people have to work hard, as they won't be able to drive in. Render your bathroom walls, two opinions versus the one, makes you wonder. 3 6062 thanks Chippy, i hope they have applied sealer but i am doubt to be honest, so i am gonna do this job after handover. 8 16284 I am building in claymore NSW and this is shown in the building envelope plan. … 0 10035 |
