Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 06, 2015 8:50 am Yesterday I visited the site for a routine frame inspection and as it happens the frame was good and there will be no significant issues reported however site drainage management is inadequate and could cause foundation problems http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u559/brankom10/h2_zps0y1nmwca.png http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u559/brankom10/site%20flooding_zpsaklisglm.png Building surveyor that inspected the frame said nothing about the drainage So I had a few firm words with the builder about site drainage management negligence and was assured it would be fixed immediately Building stage inspections are not just about critical point reporting but also about monitoring the build best you can without being there all the time and engaging and guiding owners with owners to be my eyes and ears on the ground. Where did it go? Not to worry. I was posting a comment re BE's post. I have already advised my Customer Care person from the volume builders I have engaged of my awareness of this potential issue of site drainage and pooling around slab. I am starting my build very shortly on a H2 site. I have read enough now to make me aware of the numerous issues that may arise with any build.
