Do you have shutters or roller blinds behind them or just the curtain? Which material & colour are your ones? And they're 'S' track ceiling mounted? Re: Simonds Homes- Hudson (Aurora Wollert build thread) 262Jun 05, 2016 11:26 pm Woooooooo!!! What I can see with my beady little eyes on my phone is super exciting. Like Megs, I'll have to fire up big computer to have a proper gander. I did manage to spy that lovely tub and fabulous van space. Can't wait to look properly! Thanks Goody Re: Simonds Homes- Hudson (Aurora Wollert build thread) 263Jun 06, 2016 8:25 am cat_dunc wow! It looks incredible. Those curtains are so dreamy. I adore them! The sheer are S track ceiling mounted. I was unsure of how they would look but they came out a treat. The S track is mounted with brackets hard up against the edge of the cornice. The curtains fold up perfectly to hang in front of the roller blinds that are outside mounted back rolled. It all works well. There is one shuttered window that we placed a back roll outside mounted roller to cut out the light that comes through shutters. It is a north facing window with a TV viewing area that needed more light to be cut out. I love your pantry, it's so neat and the cavity slider. I'd want to live in there (lol ... I like eating) And the lovely minty bedroom with those huge windows letting in lots of lovely light, so nice. That's not your master is it? Which one's the master ... the mint, pink/grey or orange? Love the orange, keep that for me please ... I'm coming to stay! Lock your pantry Oooh and I have to say, your landscaping is fantastic ... that's what I want to do now ... great idea! I don't think any turf will withstand our big dog. We noticed our local dog park is landscaped with a mix of soft road base and mulch. I love how you've placed the blocks in them and added pots around the perimeter. Very, very nice. Nice bike too Goody. You've done a fabulous job outside and the Mrs inside. Great team! Thanks for sharing. Worth the wait Re: Simonds Homes- Hudson (Aurora Wollert build thread) 267Jun 06, 2016 8:06 pm TomCat Love the mint greens throughout ... even in the pantry. Thanks for sharing. Worth the wait Thanks TC. We are pleased with the progress so far. We have that grey/pink room as our master. The one with the two side pendants. I wanted a house with master at the back because of my shift work and need for quiet sleep area of house. The two front rooms are for grandchildren sleep overs- we love their sleepovers! We have 3 g'c and one new one arriving end of next month. Re: Simonds Homes- Hudson (Aurora Wollert build thread) 272Jun 09, 2016 7:13 am I have another question haha.. Are your benchtops stone or laminate? Building Simonds Hudson viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80646 Re: Simonds Homes- Hudson (Aurora Wollert build thread) 273Jun 09, 2016 12:22 pm Halcyon I have another question haha.. Are your benchtops stone or laminate? Kitchen stone but the rest- butlers, bathrooms and laundry laminated. Simonds want an arm and a leg for stone. We went glass splashback for kitchen but if we had to cut down on an expense, glass splashbacks would be the first to go as there are so many nice tile options out there is a hell of a lot cheaper price. The island bench has a 40mm stone top but laminated side panels the same width as the top to give a waterfall type of a look without the stone waterfall price. Re: Simonds Homes- Hudson (Aurora Wollert build thread) 275Jun 09, 2016 8:36 pm You're a thinker goody! Couldn't even tell looking at the photos! How much extra was the glass splashback roughly, just out of curiosity? We never asked at gallery... Originally $1449 but upgraded the glass splashback at gallery at that price to Stegbar Starfire glass for another $550. So $2000. Not worth it. A tile of similar colour would have the same effect as far as décor goes. Re: Simonds Homes- Hudson (Aurora Wollert build thread) 277Jun 09, 2016 9:01 pm goody59 Halcyon You're a thinker goody! We are rather pleased with the results. It will be a nice little house for us and our family when they visit for years to come. I am looking forward to when I merbau deck the under alfresco out to the two retaining walls rear and side in a few months. Then there is just a little block retaining wall across the front and some garden works and a new letter box to complete the front. Nature strip is going to be replaced in Tuscan toppings too to get out of the mud. Hi, Apologies - I know there is plenty out there on this but struggling to put together the puzzle.
