Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building the Stoneleigh with Dale Alcock in Tuart Ridge 101Feb 01, 2016 3:34 pm Looks fantastic! You are on the home stretch. How much did you pay, if you don't mind me asking, to have one mirror door and one glass door on your robes? We were quoted $440 to upgrade to glass (regardless of how many doors) but only $60 for mirror doors...so we are having all mirrors but I would have loved one of each. Re: Building the Stoneleigh with Dale Alcock in Tuart Ridge 102Feb 01, 2016 4:33 pm Hi Nelleebellee, Thanks! Are you building with Dale Alcock as well??? The white glass doors were a brand new line when I went to pre start.... previous glass doors were cream and not as shiney. In my addenda they are called whitecote doors and bedroom 2, 3 and 4 were $687 extra so $229 a door on top of the standard. The mirror side is standard specs by the way. Regards, Andrew Re: Building the Stoneleigh with Dale Alcock in Tuart Ridge 103Feb 01, 2016 6:56 pm We are building with Dale Alcock in the SW. We have been told that the vinyl doors are standard and we have to pay for everything else. It's crazy, you would think that we lived 1,000,000 miles from anywhere with all the price increases! We were told the same but we upgraded to all mirror doors which was the same price as just getting one mirror one standard Re: Building the Stoneleigh with Dale Alcock in Tuart Ridge 105Feb 01, 2016 7:13 pm Yeah, that's where they get you.... upgrades. You would think paying the Dale Alcock premium would include more high end options as standard! What annoys me is going around to see what has been going on and find that they have managed to drill through a cold water pipe in my ensue and water is everywhere!!!! Bet that's a bloody mess to fix Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building the Stoneleigh with Dale Alcock in Tuart Ridge 106Feb 01, 2016 7:34 pm "Upgrade" is my least favourite word at the moment! Bugger about the pipe...good thing you've seen it and can make sure its fixed properly! They have gone and put ours right where we wanted our retaining wall! Re: Building the Stoneleigh with Dale Alcock in Tuart Ridge 111Feb 03, 2016 8:08 pm Still no answer from site sup..... He is really starting to annoy me actually. The water Corp said they could move it from the mains for a $500 fee or we can just move ourself. If I get no luck from the builder ill investigate further. Thanks for your reply. I will just wait and see I guess.
