Re: Our first home with Summit - WIR pics!! 982Jan 17, 2016 2:23 pm Ourmansion Huggy_B Can I ask how long and wide your WIR is approx? Trying to get a feel for how big mine will be and I have a similar style to yours. It's 4930 by 1240. I was concerned about the width as well before the fit out but now that its in, it's perfect. There is enough space to walk freely. I think our sales consultant mentioned that the standard width should be 1200 from memory Our building journey viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77582 Nice, mine is a little shorter (3.9m) and a little wider (1.35m) Re: Our first home with Summit - WIR pics!! 983Jan 20, 2016 11:23 pm Love your WIR fitout!! I haven't decided what to do in ours.. but this gives me some ideas Re: Our first home with Summit - KEYS 26 NOV!! 985Jan 24, 2016 8:51 pm Ourmansion Thanks all. We have now moved in and it still feels surreal! We are over the moon! Moving is a lot of hard work with all the packing and unpacking . And there is a lot of dust everywhere, we have to be prepared to be dusting all the time!! I wonder where it's coming from . Our painting has been completed and we are very happy with the result. The painters did a great job. We are so glad we didn't attempt to do it ourselves, we saw them doing the painting, it is a lot of work and it needs a lot of patience! You really need to be a perfectionist with the cut ins!! We are so glad we have the superwall, OMG, the finish is so smooth and it's just perfect . We love it and we love our colour choice too . We were both worried that the Doeskin will be dark but it's just perfect . It blends in nicely with the fireplace wall and the floors. Here are some pics. Sorry for the overload but I know you love update pics as much as I do We used Octopus painting and we are very happy with their work, I would highly recommend them, they are very professional with their work. I was looking for faults in their paintwork but I couldn't find any! We checked every wall with flash lights. Even hubby was surprised that I could not fault it, (I am very very picky) that's how good it is!! I was disappointed when they wanted to move out our dates but I am glad they managed to squeeze us in in the end and finish it on time for our move . I can understand they have a lot of jobs at this time of the year! It was a team of four and they smashed it!! They were also cheaper than the rest of the painters we got quotes from . Hey, if you don't mind, may I ask you to pm how much it cost to get these guys to paint your interior? Our house is about the same size as yours and just curious how much we might need to set aside Thanks 1st Aug2015 - Bought the block!!![/color] 9th Aug 2015 - Signed with Celebration Homes 30th Sep - Prestart completed. 4th Nov - Earthworks completed 6th Nov - Pad is laid! 15th Dec - Brickwork begins! Can't wait for it to arrive so we can finally move into our bedroom haha, we have been sleeping in the guest bedroom since we moved in. We thought it would be better to assemble our current bed in there than having to do it twice (and it would have taken longer to get the new one). I can't stop looking at these pics . Builder is sending plasterer to "patch up" next week but it's going to continue for god knows how long as the render is contaminated and there is on-going plaster popping, so we have to put off painting and are currently sporting ugly yellow patchy walls from the sealer. Not that we have money to paint anyway but that needs to happen before we start assembling any furniture. Oh and hubby has to revamp our bedsides to match. Those stools are very cool!! You're kitchen is lovely and spacious. _______________________ KEYYYSSS!! ~ 14/10/15 viewtopic.php?t=72518 Our Build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72518 Re: Our first home with Summit - WIR pics!! 996Jan 28, 2016 11:08 pm Oh, I see, I hope they fix it up for you soon so you can start using your furniture. Our building journey viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77582 It's actually been an ongoing drama truth be told. Came close to contacting the building comission but we're too overwhelmed with several other things. Stools look great! Nearly went for those myself but in black. The wood seat ties in beautifully with your floors. So it looks like we finally have some movement on site!
