Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 28, 2008 5:08 pm Wisdom Homes are in the process of finishing off their new displays at The Ponds (NSW) and we finally got to see the inside today instead of just peering through dirty windows. It's the Impression 38 Mk II - their most popular double storey home.
They're still finishing the landscaping - but insides are mostly done (HT still to be installed) Front of the place (older pic): Front door - those are stainless steel inserts in the door - not glass Staircase just after the entry - a $3.5k upgrade! Re: New Wisdom Homes display 2Jun 28, 2008 7:53 pm Wow, there's some nice ideas there!
Did you sneak in when tradies were on site ? We are loving living in our new home ! https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.p ... &start=315 Re: New Wisdom Homes display 4Jun 28, 2008 8:44 pm That is one stunning home!!
I love how they have used oyster lights instead of downlights everywhere, this is what we will be having and it has shown me that it looks great! We are also getting the stainless steel staircase - I love it!! I really love the way that home has been decorated! Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous!! My karma ran over your dogma Re: New Wisdom Homes display 5Jun 28, 2008 9:07 pm Damnit...there's that light again.....

Ours has the window above the length of the bath, ie where the niche is, but it would be possible to do a small niche along the end of the bath instead. What a handy thing, wish I'd seen it before our walls went up. Re: New Wisdom Homes display 7Jun 29, 2008 8:42 am Rikster Wow, there's some nice ideas there! Did you sneak in when tradies were on site ? When the house was under construction we snuck on through a gap in the fence and looked through the dirty windows. I called last week to ask when it would be open for proper walk throughs and they said to just go along - someone was in the sales centre/garage - tradies were still around finishing the landscaping. donuts Are you getting the staircase and fireplace upgrades? I'm not a real fan of the staircase - it looks great - but for us won't be all that practical. We'll be having the bottom 3 steps as Tassie Oak timber - but only on 1 side - the other side (left side in the pic) we'll be having a balustrade as I want to put a mirror and small hall table there + nice Ming-style vase for umbrellas. We are going to put an internal gas point where the fireplace is in the display home and maybe leave it till later. At $15k I think we'd prefer to do window furnishings - but it's definitely in our future plans. Quote: I love how they have used oyster lights instead of downlights everywhere, this is what we will be having and it has shown me that it looks great! The builder does it in all his homes and even tries to talk people out of doing heaps of downlights - from the cost and enviro perspective. Plus the downlights he uses are only CFL - refuses to install halogens. After 4 years - we're in! Re: New Wisdom Homes display 11Jun 29, 2008 6:56 pm This house is very nice! I suggest anyone contemplating building a double storey home in Sydney to view it. Re: New Wisdom Homes display 12Jun 29, 2008 7:17 pm Wow, that's a really really nice house Stonecutter. Great choice.
I love the niche in the bath and I think the large 12 seater dining table will look fantastic. Great for entertaining Dana -------------------------- Building with DFH - carpet installed! Re: New Wisdom Homes display 13Jun 29, 2008 7:24 pm Paula Are you getting excitied yet?? Starting to! Though our land is yet to be certified by the water authority - this has to be done before title registration. I have fingers crossed for sunny weather After 4 years - we're in! Re: New Wisdom Homes display 14Jul 07, 2008 2:19 pm Love the fireplace!
Don't understand why builders still using clear glass for bathrooms?? Is this for the display homes only, so that people won't use it? Or is that a standard?? Re: New Wisdom Homes display 15Jul 07, 2008 4:54 pm ahuang - for display homes only - I asked them about that - usually the windows in bathrooms are frosted After 4 years - we're in!
