Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 20, 2015 9:07 pm How can I achieve this for street appeal? My husband is a concreter so he can do that aspect. We have trades tiler, renderer and chippy but not sure how to go about the plan. The second picture is the display home which is our facade, exact colours. So you think the trades could most likely just work of the pic as opposed to me hiring a Landscape Designer and/or Architect? Re: How can I achieve this picture? 3May 21, 2015 9:40 am It's not clear what you want to achieve. So you want to keep the house exactly as in the 2nd picture, with the same colours and finishes, but then want to get the "look" of the first picture by the choice of landscaping? Re: How can I achieve this picture? 6May 29, 2015 4:12 pm If the levels with respect to the street are about the same, you could just copy what they've done: retaining walls, steps and planting. Put the grey colours of your house into the steps, and the the retaining wall would be finished either to match in with your timber, or the white post. Then just get the tiler to lay over the top. You can do the planting yourself. Creator of superduperonium, expert at expert things, nobel laureate, can hold my breath for 10 minutes. So two different greyish coloured exposed aggregrates and a grey tile? Or too much grey. Thanks Ponzu. Thankfully my husband is a concreter I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15265 2 10984 |
