Well my search for the perfect Boral () brick continues... Most of them I am familiar with, and I don't actually like, however, there are a few new names on there which I haven't seen before, I have googled them and searched on the Boral website but can't find pictures of them...I tried calling Boral but they are closed. The ones I'd like to see are; Sienna, Argyle and Sandybeach, I have never heard of these ones before, and if they look ok I'll be very happy as they are low categories! Anyway if anyone has heard of them or has any information that would be great Cheers Bel My karma ran over your dogma Re: PD Boral Categories - New list, need help... 2Jun 28, 2008 11:21 am haywgl Hi Guys, Category 2 – Upgrade ARGYLE, IRONBARK, SANDALWOOD, BERWICK VELOUR, KIMBERLY, BROWN TERRAIN, OLD WOODVILLE, SANDY BEACH Category 5 – Upgrade RAHEEN, RATTAN, LA BASSA, SALMON PINK, NEVADA CREAM SMOOTH, NEVADA CREAM VELOUR Bel Seems like some of the bricks have moved up a category. Brown Terrain used to be Cat 1 and raheen and rattan is Cat 4 when we were selecting our bricks Good luck in your hunt. Cheers Re: PD Boral Categories - New list, need help... 3Jun 28, 2008 11:28 am I noticed that too - also I think Beaumonde used to be a cat 2 and it is now a cat 3...
I'm really enjoyed they got rid of coco, vanilla, limestone classic - these were the only 3 I really liked.... I'm just hoping the new ones that I haven't heard of are nice My karma ran over your dogma Re: PD Boral Categories - New list, need help... 4Jun 28, 2008 11:41 am Hi Bel,
Sometimes the changes are good. There was a brick I loved but couldn't use as I wanted flush mortar and it wasn't suitable. I strugggled to find a brick that would fit in with our estate requirements sook, sook, sook. Had decided on a "that'll do" brick but not really happy. Then called in at brick place and guess what? Original brick that wouldn't go with flush mortar deleted and in its place similar brick, wire cut and perfectly suited to flush mortar! Jo very very, happy!! And it was catregory 1. My point is to think positively. These new bricks you haven't seen are going to be fabulous!! And even if they're not, select what you like the best but keep an eye on new products from Boral even AFTER your selection. You never know when the perfect brick might be released. I'm sure they'll let you change right up to the last minute. (With a bit of prodding!!) Good luck Bel, I know you have been doing your head in over the bricks. Bloody Boral! Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: PD Boral Categories - New list, need help... 5Jun 28, 2008 11:48 am Hi Bel
I'm not familiar with any of the bricks, but why don't you ring Boral on Monday and say "these are what I liked X,X and X and these are what I can choose from, are any of the newer bricks similar to the superseded ones?" I presume they are the ones who will be able to advise you on what is the closest to what you wanted previously.....and let's hope they're not Cat 6 (like our slim, line bricks at the front ) !!! Good luck! Solidarity, not solidity.......The Lexicon of Life Follow this URL to the brick selector on the Boral website 6Jun 28, 2008 12:48 pm http://www.boral.com.au/brick_selector_ ... den_Bricks
Most of the bricks you mentioned should be listed here. I have found this tool very useful. Re: PD Boral Categories - New list, need help... 7Jun 28, 2008 2:44 pm Thanks for your comments everyone!
I know what you are saying J - I am just being a big sook Seriously though, it just annoys me that they use Boral for some of thier homes and Austral for the others, but your right I should think positive! I have a good feeling about Sandy Beach, it atleast sounds like the colour we are after Petal - Good point, I'll give them a call on Monday I'm trying to stay clear of Cat 6, I was willing to go up to cat 5, but ideally I'd llke to be in Cat 1 and spend the spare money on a waterfall edge to the kitchen Thanks for the link radiuz, that is the first tool I used to search for the bricks, most of them are on there, but the new ones I mentioned weren't. Thanks anyway its a really helpful tool My karma ran over your dogma Ask yourself if the insurance company will be aware of the Reno. 4 7360 6 55311 XCEM Alpha flooring seems to relatively new and I could not found any reviews.
