We just got the land in Blakeview and i plaining to go through fairmont but i heard so many bad reviews about them which made me bit difficult to choose them. Can you able to sugest me what we can do to avoid negligence about construction thx Hey ronski we are currently building in blakes crossing with fairmont, feel free to follow our build thread to see how we gave gone so far, not too many issues and nothing major but happy to answer questions if you have anything in particular you are worried about Re: Fairmont Homes CustomKDR - Cabinetry 252Apr 26, 2016 3:22 pm Footings will be different for each block. Heatherkam has a thread as well which might be useful to check out as she is building in a similar area. Our stone benchtops (smartstone) cost around 5k for the kitchen. There are quite a few different brands and colours to choose from. We negotiated a discount to cover the cost of the stone and also negotiated free full height tiling for the bathrooms. To get a good idea about Fairmont, read through a few of the build threads on here. A lot of people building with Fairmont also posted on these two threads: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73164 viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82114 Re: Fairmont Homes CustomKDR - Cabinetry 253Apr 29, 2016 11:30 pm Re: Fairmont Homes CustomKDR - Cabinetry 254Apr 30, 2016 12:34 am Eeeeek, how exciting!! Building a custom Sterling home in Adelaide. Re: Fairmont Homes CustomKDR - 8 weeks(ish) left! 255May 05, 2016 5:20 pm Looks like second fix electrical is complete - as far as I can tell from peering through the windows all the light fittings, switches and power points have been installed except for the island bench. I haven't been able to get in the house for a while. I tried on Tuesday when there were tradies there but they wouldn't let me come in. Some rubbish about it 'not being safe.' Pfft... Tiling hasn't started yet, hopefully it will in the next few days. All we have left is tiling, plumbing second fix, stone installation, stormwater and painting (I think). I really hope it goes quickly but most people have said they really drag their feet for the final stages! Re: Fairmont Homes CustomKDR - 8 weeks(ish) left! 256May 05, 2016 5:29 pm Oooh how exciting!! Ours is dragging too. I've asked our building consult and she said that they'll have a more definitive answer in 2-3 weeks. Pfft! Building a custom Sterling home in Adelaide. Re: Fairmont Homes CustomKDR - 8 weeks(ish) left! 257May 05, 2016 9:50 pm Hopefully not too much longer for your tiles to start, it is anxious when your so close to the finish line, fingers crossed it picks up again for you! Re: Fairmont Homes CustomKDR - 8 weeks(ish) left! 259May 06, 2016 6:26 pm It was $898 for a 1.7m cupboard. yes it does, you've just not understood it. theres a difference. 4 5453 Your house should come in "as new" condition.
