Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 12, 2015 4:30 pm Hi, I have a block of land 18.79m wide and 37.33m in depth. I originally wanted to build Coral homes Casuarina 32 but given that 25M I am considering Daydream as this is only 21M in debt and gives me a bigger backyard.(11.8m vs 7.8m) Please help me choose if you have seen or build either of these two houses The reason I liked Casuarina 32 was because the house and living space looks and feels huge where as in Daydream 30 given that not visited the house(as no display in NSW) I feel the house would look very small. Once you step in the house you are into living which is only 4.5M wide and for guest the house ends. Help... I am going crazy!!! is 7.8M to small?? Re: Coral Homes Casuarina or Daydream 2May 12, 2015 5:45 pm We are building a building a very modified casurina 32. Re: Coral Homes Casuarina or Daydream 3May 12, 2015 8:18 pm Comparing those two designs, the yard space isn't such an issue. While Casurina is longer in total length, the back section is narrow, so you end up with an L- shaped yard which is probably similar in area. I'd also look into which design gets rooms in the best place for sun access. Can you please share the floor plan and the overall experience with coral homes. Thanks in advance Re: Coral Homes Casuarina or Daydream 5May 13, 2015 12:36 am oneJohn Comparing those two designs, the yard space isn't such an issue. Do you think 7.8 m is too small Re: Coral Homes Casuarina or Daydream 6May 13, 2015 6:37 am jetkal83 Nic and Shell 1 We are building a building a very modified casurina 32. Thanks in advance viewtopic.php?t=76570 Our build thread, has the floor plan on first page. As soon as we saw the plan we knew it was the one we wanted. Overall experience has been pretty good. There's been a few mistakes but your going to always get that I believe. But they have or will fix them up when the time comes. Re: Coral Homes Casuarina or Daydream 7May 13, 2015 9:32 am Hi Jetkal, welcome! You need to consider what will work best with you and your family. For us, we really wanted to have our bedroom a long way from the kids' bedrooms (3x small boys) so the Daydream suited us fine. When you're talking about the backyard being 'too small' you need to ask too small for what? For a pool? Trampoline? Swingset? Backyard cricket? A nice garden? Nobody can really answer that but you and your family. Good luck! Cheers Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13769 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4335 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74701 |
