Same, looking forward to all the updates.
Between your two build timelines, I'm hoping mine falls somewhere in between there. With CDC hopefully shortening the approval process.
*fingers crossed*

I think having invested so much time and effort that the build can't start soon enough. It will be good to move out of the virtual world. I'm sure the scars will heal (ha ha) cheers Re: Our Alkira Olivia Hornsby Shire 45May 25, 2015 9:17 pm raina Lovely selections.. We have selected the same floor tile for one of the bathrooms Thanks! Clearly you have good taste . How have you found the experience / process so far? Waiting for alkira to submit for DA before the date for tender expires .. From your timeline, I think we are looking at another 3 months before we get to our land That was our experience with the DA. Our biggest issue was the ability to get a straight answer on the progress. We understand that all builds are different however there are a lot of consistencies when preparing a submission and better communication could go along way so you feel like things are progressing. I wouldn't be concerned about the expiring tender apart from the time itself as they seem reasonable with the tender and extensions from other people's posts. Good luck and fingers crossed. By the way what area are you building in? We are building in the hills area , North kellyville Alkira homes - Elyse15 Re: Our Alkira Olivia Hornsby Shire 49May 25, 2015 10:07 pm raina So true about the communication and getting straight answers ( for that matter any, other than we are still working on it ) .. I will say that since approval and going to contract I can't speak highly enough of the communication we have received with no question or change to that point being an issue or hassle Finnerz74 Forum Thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77361 Blog http://ourdreamalkira.blogspot.com.au Re: Our Alkira Olivia Hornsby Shire 50May 26, 2015 1:55 pm Just spoke to our site supervisor for the first time. Yes @raina and I are both building with Alkira in the same estate. We both can't wait to be in your position I'm sure... Re: Our Alkira Olivia Hornsby Shire 56May 26, 2015 7:55 pm Council, the arrogance of the planners drives me up the wall! We are 8 weeks since council submission! We need to amend changes but they won't comment on your changes until it's resubmitted again with the changes that you hope to god is at their wavelength.... And the wait still continues. We will be doing our selects on the fly, sometimes wished we went the project home route, less selection options so maybe less headaches with decisions. Re: Our Alkira Olivia Hornsby Shire 57May 27, 2015 12:22 am Hi Raina and RJMM-H1, Thanks!!!! I know we have had our moments along the way with the time it has taken. I don't think it is anyone's fault in particular its just the process. Fingers crossed you both get to this stage asap. It is good that you have each other in the same area to compare progress. Unfortunately I'm not aware of anyone up our way. Selections are fun... Aren't they? Depends if there are differences in taste within the family I suppose! I agree with the selections and I would hate to have differing tastes as I found the decisions hard enough when we have similar taste. I must admit that I would like this to be the last but I think I'm addicted to design and the what if scenario. Anyway if history is anything to go on we have finished and listed within weeks. Probably need to seek help or get a hobby!! Got to love dealing with councils and their logic. I think with the best planning you will still make decisions on the fly. To be honest I think flexibility that is given these days and the access to instant information you can change just about anything with a project builder. Hopefully common sense prevails and a speedy resolution can be achieved.
