I am a newbie from Melbourne, VIC and I have recently bought a block of land in an established estate "cairnlea". This land has been recently released and subdivision is yet to happen with settlement due next year sometime in aug-sep'07. It is a corner lot and has the driveway marked in the plan on the secondary street side. I have been looking around few display homes (I know it is quite early), but I just wanted to find out what kind of house I can have it build on this land. Most of the plans have got the garage in front (i.e. my primary street side). Now my question is whether it is possible to have the driveway position changed before the development agency in this case "VicUrban" can start the process of subdivisioning. I have requested them but they kind of indicating that it is not possible as the changed driveway will fall just opposite to the street joing the primary street from the other end. I need some advise as to whether the reason they are giving is correct and is it possible to change it by directly requesting the council once the subdivision has happened? Thanks
