Spent an hour looking at it, it's great to see it finally take shape. Build is in Reservoir. I see your slab got poured congrats. Did it all go well ? Building MainVue Ivory 436 KDR Re: Building MainVue Ivory 436 24Nov 17, 2015 8:26 pm Our slab pour went well and looks great. Apparently framing will start later this week so it's all go suddenly. Good luck for tomorrow! Building Mainvue Emporio http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79850 Re: Building MainVue Ivory 436 25Nov 18, 2015 8:03 pm We have been slabbed! No issues found on the inspection? Building MainVue Ivory 436 28Nov 19, 2015 7:07 pm Inspection was on the morning. Just a couple things pointed out pierced plastic, mesh on pipes, missing chairs, sagging mesh.
It was communicated to the crew not even sure they were rectified. The raft slab seemed well engineered and boxed up. Spent a couple hours the night before watching/chatting to the guys from the formwork crew. Even went in the morning to see the pour before and after work. Framing they worked 8am to 8pm, pour day 7am to 6pm. No one there today, lot of dirt that needs to be cleaned up, big hill at the front, not much concrete mess. We have stalled and after having our planning application knocked back for the Amalfi, we have now been waiting 6 weeks for an approval for the Ivory! Still no reply. I've been so frustrated I haven't been watching how everyone is going with their builds... I wanted to ask you about your footpath repairs. The demolishers caused damage to every section of footpath along the front of the block. Did Mainvue request that you lift the cracked path and replace it? Libby (Saint Girl) PS, things are looking good for you Re: Building MainVue Ivory 436 31Nov 25, 2015 9:52 pm What type of damage ? Mainvue advised that they could not start unless we obtained permission for a temporary crossover from council. My SS did advise crush rock needed to be min 15cm for heavy machinery to pass over. If the damage is minimal you could patch with cold mix. Building MainVue Ivory 436 KDR Re: Building MainVue Ivory 436 32Nov 26, 2015 8:24 pm Thanks, the crossover is fine, but the rest of the path along the front is cracked, with quite a lot loose, lifted and uneven. Council is not happy and suggested we remove anything loose and replace with crushed rock. I suppose Mainvue would say the same thing...I think it looks a bit dangerous anyway so we will just do it. I don't want to hold up things further (assuming that one day we will eventually have something approved and actually be able to get to contract stage!)... So frustrated Re: Building MainVue Ivory 436 33Dec 14, 2015 5:35 pm What council are you in? We had huge delays too with our knock down rebuild. It's so stressful. But - finally our house looks like a house and we hope to move in mid feb (all going well in the new year) As many said to me during the long drawn out council process - it will be worth it in the end. Sometimes I have questioned it, but now it is close to finished I can finally see that all the pain we went through will be worth it and I think we will appreciate our new house even more (when we finally get it) Blog: www.dapplegrey.com.au Re: Building MainVue Ivory 436 34Dec 15, 2015 7:39 pm I'm Darebin council they have been good. Only delays I had was electricity disconnection and electrical pit installation. It took nearly 3 months to get a electrical pit installed. I am still being billed by AGL 4 months after disconnection because Jemena haven't finalised the reading and Bill and I am being billing based on estimates. Donovan, Had a look at build post, looks great. Especially like that you have your own retreat off master and large walk in wardrobes. Building MainVue Ivory 436 35Dec 15, 2015 7:44 pm Framing invoice received but still some work to be don't to complete. Flashing/gutters went up today roofing to follow.
