I did some online research and this company seems helpful. http://www.tintingdirect.com.au/frosted ... matte.html You can leave a small area around the edges so that you can see out. You can also get patterned designs. I thought about getting out house number cut out too. The alternative is venetian blinds i guess. Not totally convinced with either! Here's a lesson for others to learn from. We chose the big long back-to-back front door handle BUT it only comes with a lock that requires a key. You can pull the door closed but need a key to lock it from both sides. Ridiculous. However it has led me to investigate the new smart locks and i am soooo getting one of them! Its called kevo i think. As long as either your compatible smart phone or key fob is within range, all you need to do is touch the lock and it opens. Magic Re: Building Mainvue Emporio 430 203Sep 03, 2015 4:42 pm I found some obscure film that works on static, which I thought was a great idea. I think they sell it at bunnings & maybe Clark rubber. Also this one online or in coburg http://www.vetrovivo.com.au/location-and-contact-info. There was also a shop I think in bayswater, or that direction. I can't find it but will keep looking. I thought the static was a good idea for DIY. No mess with glue. Hi. No, the skirtings are on and painted. They sit a few ml off the floor. We are having vinyl planks which butt up nicely to the skirting and is thinner than timber. Good luck tomorrow.. I think it probably is the last thing normally. I'm a bit confused about the whole process to be honest but no doubt it will become clearer. We got a gas meter today so the various gas appliances can be fitted off (water, heating, fire). Re: Building Mainvue Emporio 430 217Sep 09, 2015 1:31 pm Encouraging for me, given our slow pace to get started how did NHP go? Re: Building Mainvue Emporio 430 218Sep 09, 2015 2:28 pm Well...no keys for us. The inspection went OK. There were a couple of times when we had to stand firm on wanting stuff changed but generally he was willing to note down items to be fixed. The main issues were... render has been affected by the acid brick wash, the patched front door is unacceptable, the powder room basins are still not in, the pantry shelves aren't there, the holes/divits in the slab and first floor haven't been filled, and finally the stain and finish on the timber staircase is really poor. We are aiming to hand over on Monday (even if some items haven't been rectified yet) but that has not been confirmed.
