Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 27, 2015 3:18 pm Hi there, My husband and I are building our first home in Port Macquarie, we have frames up, windows in and roof is on we are waiting on the bricks to go up now Our builder has asked us to start making the final choices on tiles, flooring, and paint colours (this is where we need some help). house details 4 bedrooms media room kitchen, living and dining is one big area kitchen is going to be black 20mm stone bench and island bench with waterfall ends and white cupboards we have chosen vinyl boards for the living areas and carpet only in the bedrooms and media room. Tiles in wet areas will be charcoal floor and white on walls. Ironstone roof and garage and austral urban one pepper from QLD range As for paint colours we have no idea where to start, we have several paint samples and brochures, followed by suggestions from the people at the paint counter. We are after fairly neutral tones we were looking at hogbristle but each time it seems to give off a different tone. I'm having Haymes white on white which looks very white-grey on their website, but white-warm on their brochure. My render is Dulux Grey Pebble, which is like Grey Pebble but a bit more white/grey. You have to decide what you want I guess, cold or warm, then white or grey, or another colour altogether. Try to look through some display homes, then ask what they use if you spot something you like So it looks like we finally have some movement on site!
