Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 17, 2015 4:15 pm I have just purchased a 10 acre block in Bindoon WA and now looking at building on it. I am a first home buyer and have never done anything like this before. I need help and recommendations for everything. Currently looking at a 4x2 kit home built buy supplyer (total home frames). I have a building envelope but will hopefully be able to move it away from the road a little. Also plan to buy a large shed and stables. Rain water tanks, bores, sewage systems will all need to fitted. If anyone has any advise or could recommend any local business please help me out. Re: Building on 10 acres HELP in Bindoon WA 2Apr 17, 2015 4:29 pm Hi! There's a couple of us building in the area at the moment. We are on 5 acres down in Lower Chittering and just got to slab stage. I'll PM you with some local contractors you many find useful but you can also check out the Northern Valleys Classifieds magazine. I'm sure they have copies at the IGA or check out the Chittering Shire FB page and request the link. Re: Building on 10 acres HELP in Bindoon WA 3Jun 21, 2015 11:37 am I'm not sure if I am of and help as we are in the same situation as u guys ( we have brought of the plan once before- but never built before let alone rural). So I just wanted so say hello more than anything. I have met with a earth works contractor from bullsbrooke ( can we name names on here?) He was quite helpful. As he does the lot- earthworks, water tanks, pumps, septic, trenches for power and sand pads for sheds. So I think I'm gonna use him. I see other ppl have used him and the feedback is positive. ( Oh and we are using total home frames tooπ) All 3 items listed are defects and are of concern. Please seek qualified independent inspector and/or legal advice for your state. 1 8175 Hi there, long-time lurker but first time posting. I've bought a house 2 and a bit years ago and last year we had some major water damage on a converted pergola area… 0 7875 Yes, unless you are in a low intensity rainfall area or the area is protected from rain. Do you have access to NCC Part 2 or can you download it? I can email you a copy… 10 12357 |
