I see you are using paradore black butt.. we are using this too... Hope it looks good ! Can't find anyone else using it yet.. Hi TJ We recently changed to this floor. Originally had a more dark red one with the thinner boards but once we had our colour selections new we had to change to something lighter. Plus i liked the wide plank much better. I was worried it would be a lot more as its in the higher range but Carpet call agreed to do it at cost price so only extra $650 to upgrade whole house. Would love to see how it looks on big scale. Are you ahead of us in your build? Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 12Apr 17, 2015 12:45 pm Yea we are up to bricking stage as of today... We ended up getting plantation homes to do our flooring cos when we got carpet court and Solomon's flooring to quote it was more expensive! Weird!!! One less thing to organise which is good.. I love the wideplank and textured feel of it too... Cross fingers it'll look awesome! I'm glad u got to upgrade at a good price too! Do u mind me asking how much for the floors through plantation homes? I was going to get them to quote but didn't in the end. Its really annoying how we have to have the quadding put in as plantation wont just 'tack' on the skirtings Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 14Apr 17, 2015 12:58 pm It was $66/m2 including of quads... It is annouing they can put it under exisiting skirts but I think for them it's much easier because they outsource to carpet court anyway and can't be bothered to organise a carpenter to come back for the skirting... Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 15Apr 17, 2015 12:58 pm You can prob email your administrator to quote it for you and see what happens! So you still need to have the quadding even if plantation organises the floors? I thought that was the one advantage of doing it through them lol. Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 17Apr 17, 2015 1:02 pm Hahaha yea they will still have quading..!! Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 18Apr 22, 2015 10:13 am Supposed to start Monday, went out there this morning looks like nothing has been done except this little patch, if this is even anything! Haven't even heard from the site supervisor yet. Starting to get a little impatient, it was rainy on Monday but now the weather is glorious and expected to stay that way for next week...so hope they get cracking soon. In other news they have almost finished the construction of the kiddies park near our block.
