Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 21Apr 23, 2015 8:20 pm Ok, so it's been a while since I have been on here, finished our build with Coral Homes at Logan Village in mid December and it has been pretty full on since then, but walking around the estate it is good to see all the new homes getting started. Walk past your block most days agf18, looking forward to seeing the build start. Sorry but no progress today either. We are going out there today guess I shouldn't expect much. We did see some ppl enjoying some drinks in their new backyard right before xmas. Wonder if that was you 😉 Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 23Apr 24, 2015 10:02 am So just contacted our administrator and asked why nothing had happened. He eventually realised that the dates we were given were for another build on our street. I wondered why when I went out there that block had been cut and filled and we had nothing. There is only one number different between our lots haha Admin advised that Site Supervisor is still breaking down our file and we should have the ACTUAL start date by this afternoon. Mmm bit annoying with the mix up, saw that the other block had been cleared and wondered why they just didn't do both blocks in one go. Hopefully gets moving soon. Site supervisor finally rang yesterday afternoon and introduced himself. Said they are hoping to start on Wednesday...fingers crossed Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 26May 09, 2015 8:13 am Hey agf18, finally started your build, was walking the dog past your place yesterday and the land has been levelled, woohoo, congrats. Should really start to move now, hopefully. So exciting its finally started! Allthough the builders are still confused as they rang me yesterday morning to say the frame was about to go up...um wrong house again...seriously how hard is it lol. Anyway here are some pics we took today. Our retaining wall should be booked in for Tuesday 😃 Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 29May 09, 2015 6:27 pm agf18 Yes we just were out there this morning to check it out. Yeah i feel nobody except us really gets how exciting it is hehe That's why the forum is so good, I was trying to explain our site cut to my father and he must of thought I was completely nuts . Hope you get some great progress this week. Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 34May 11, 2015 8:40 am That looks like a massive block! Following, I recon your place will look awesome once finished. Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 36May 11, 2015 9:00 am agf18 Thanks! Yes nice size at 1150sqm One of the nicer things they did for that estate, good old fashioned quarter acre blocks, rather than teeny weeny less than 300 sqm blocks down the road at Yarrabilba . I know when the estate was proposed there were a lot people unhappy that such small blocks were proposed for your estate, but they look pretty good now by comparison. After spending more than half my life on 20 acres, I couldn't live on anything smaller than 1 acre. Owner Building at Jimboomba Woods in Logan City Qld. Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 37May 11, 2015 9:07 am Yeah we are very happy to be going to be living here. We would have loved to get even bigger but didn't want to be any further out as I work in the city. An acre must be amazing ☺ Re: Building the Plantation Retreat Nouveau Q1 at Logan Vill 38May 11, 2015 9:21 am agf18 Yeah we are very happy to be going to be living here. You've got to draw the line somewhere, distance to work versus the land that you want and are able to afford (pushes you further out of town). Quote: An acre must be amazing ☺ Oh, it's not too bad I suppose. It'll no doubt feel a lot better in a few years once I get accustomed to it, and get past the paranoid neighbours. I reckon in about 2 or 3 years I'll stop missing the large acreage, and wish we had've done this 10 years prior. Owner Building at Jimboomba Woods in Logan City Qld.
