That's an awesome WIR and your angled entrance/garage is well considered, no doubt it was designed to fit your block shape! My current house does exactly that too, many are surprised with what lays beyond! Only two things I'd suggest, adding a door to your WIR and one to your entertainment room from your hallway. When you have kids you'll appreciate being able to shut the bedrooms off from that area. Re: Building our new home with New Generation Homes! 6Apr 17, 2015 4:42 pm Hi we are building at Alkimos with New Gen too! Anyone have feedback or experience on new gen as builders? Thank you I am very excited about the WIR! our block is 11m at the front and 25m at the back and my OH wanted a drive through garage so that's the way it worked out! Thank you for the suggestions we will consider them! It makes front elevation look odd. Our block is narrow at the front and wide at the back, this was the only way we could fit the garage with a drive through roller door at the back. The plans make the block look much worse, hopefully it wont look that bad when its built. It will be unique thats for sure! Congrats on signing first contracts.. When do you get titles? Following your thread Hey, we are in one of the first stages of honeywood so we are all built around so titles were done a couple years ago so dont have to wait for the land to be ready we bought the block off a private seller in december last year! Prestart is booked for 28th April!! Re: Building our new home with New Generation Homes! 17Apr 19, 2015 4:23 pm albylong Hi guys, were building with New Gen in Whiteman Edge, all good so far, we've just completed pre start and our land settled this week Very exciting good luck with everything! Re: Building our new home with New Generation Homes! 18Apr 19, 2015 4:29 pm Oh lucky you then! But does that mean that you've missed out on front landscaping? We wanted to settle in honey wood long time ago.. But land prices were so expensive.. So we decided to build in Springtime in Haynes.. It's new area but land was cheaper (by like 50-60k or even more when compared to other estates) and its close to the hospital that I worked in.. So it fits perfect for us as I'll only be 5 mins down the road from work instead of the 40 mins that I am now! Looking forward to that sooo much! Cos I also do call outs, it's getting tiring driving to and fro :S Building: The Maxum Builder: New Generation Homes Estate: Springtime Estate, Xavier ____________________________ Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73924 Re: Building our new home with New Generation Homes! 19Apr 19, 2015 8:06 pm IssyandOzzy Oh lucky you then! Save you on fuel too we have alot of friends already/going to build in honeywood so it should be good! It is expensive here but byford is too far for my OH who mainly works in the city so honeywood it better placed. Its hopefully going to be a house that we will be in for over 10 years... yeah unfortunately we miss out on landscaping according to the rules but Ive heard if i contact satterly we might be able to work something out. Will let you know how i go! Re: Building our new home with New Generation Homes! 20Apr 21, 2015 12:24 pm Update! We picked our carpet from Carpet Call in Stirling on Friday afternoon! We decided to upgrade. Extra thick in the Master/WIR/Theater and then 2 options below that in bed 2/3/4 but it still felt way better than the standard we got through New Gen! I don't have the exact picks on me atm but i can post product names/numbers if you want to know! We picked both in the darkest colour they had. Pretty much black with a few charcoal flecks through it like the picture below! Then on Saturday we went to Crosby tiles in Myaree to pick our tiles/stone/laminates. I thought this was going to be a mission but we decided things quite easily and kept everything the same throughout the house. We are having a black feature wall in our shower in the ensuite and just a single vertical row in the shower in the bathroom. Pretty much all other tiles will be white with the charcoal floor tiles. We have essastone in the kitchen/ens/bathroom so we chose bone white for those and for the laminate top in the scullery/laundry we picked warm white formica top. For all the cupboard doors we picked laminex eclipse. Photos are below. They all looked good together we thought. Hopefully when its all finished it will look good! Only time will tell... We have booked a free info appointment with intelligent homes regarding NBN package and smart wiring throughout the house for friday 24/4 then we have prestart booked for tuesday 28/4!! Its all moving along! Our building journey: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=76935 Thanks for your reply. I will just wait and see I guess.
