Loving the ensuite bulkhead and lighting! Looks amazing and the mirror will finish it off nicely! Our building journey viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77582 Re: Our First Build - Calleya - HGWA 64Aug 31, 2015 9:52 pm Now I have a little whinge...... Firstly, I caught the neighbour's tradies using our water AGAIN! This time it was their tilers and I was so pi**ed off that I had a go at them and contacted Ventura to complain. This is the second time I've caught them , once in April and now in August so it most likely been happening the entire build. I emailed Ventura Homes with the subject line "illegal use of water". They did respond and asked for the photos (i told them that I had photos of both of times I caught them). Haven't heard back since I emailed the photos. Second whinge is that I am not happy with our tiling in the ensuite. The layout has left a little strip of tiles in one side and it is the first thing you see when you walk in. What's worse, is I can see no reason as to why they've done it. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The photo doesn't really show it very well but if they had to have this stupid strip, it could of been put up the other end where it would end up in the window sill. Im really disappointed Re: Our First Build - Calleya - HGWA 65Aug 31, 2015 9:56 pm Re: Our First Build - Calleya - HGWA 66Aug 31, 2015 10:02 pm I agree, aren't they supposed to start tiling always from the entry point as you walk in for that reason? I'd be completely not happy its aesthetics the whole point in tiles is to look nice!! On the plus side that bulk head looks really classy with the lights guys will look amazing with the mirror!! Re: Our First Build - Calleya - HGWA 67Aug 31, 2015 10:21 pm I don't think you are being too picky. I agree both the tiles and the paving shouldn't have those little cuts! It has to look nice. I hope they will sort it out for you. I hope they sort those out for you. Otherwise, looking great - your ensuite vanity is so big! Re: Our First Build - Calleya - HGWA 71Sep 03, 2015 9:52 pm Drove past your house yesterday Chadtyn. Did you speak to them about the tiling/paving? We told the SS that we weren't happy about the tilting but he reckons the tilers had to do it that way. I'm not convinced, so will bring it up again at PCI where we can all stand in that room and he can explain it again. We are bringing an independent building inspector with us for the PCI so I'd love him to hear the reasoning. SS said he'd look at the paving at PCI. elemist Woohoo! PCI definately calls for some dancing pom pom smileys! I've been walking around with a stupid grin on my face! Can't contain myself. Lots of dancing!
