I shall drive by this arvo and have a peek. Venting finished for now Re: Switch Homes Sorrento HOW SLOW CAN YOU GO !!! 23Jun 03, 2015 2:04 pm Oh that's frustrating but so close! Hang in there!! Re: Switch Homes Sorrento HOW SLOW CAN YOU GO !!! 24Jun 03, 2015 2:19 pm Thanks mandy+steve we are trying to be positive all we want is communication, it's amazing what one (blue) email can achieve. The email we received last night : "Following on from our phone call, I have spoken to management and they have advised that the asbestos was broken on site when we did the site inspection on the 25th April." What the??? its June hello, what's that 5/6 weeks ago we could have had it removed then, it's being done now. All we ask for is communication not so hard I thought but what do I know Golly gee gosh I say Re: Switch Homes Sorrento HOW SLOW CAN YOU GO !!! 25Jun 03, 2015 2:33 pm I am quickly learning that ALL the home builders seem have very inefficient admin,time-management and communication practices so they miss or overlook things. We had a similar issue where my builder blamed our missing boundary pegs as the hold up as they were waiting for the surveyor to get back from leave but in reality they didn't know about the missing boundary pegs until I told them they weren't there 10 days prior to that, there was at least a month of inactivity before that where they should have had it sorted out. It's all just excuses. Ours has since moved forward and we are nearing lockup. It's just ridiculously frustrating. Hopefully you'll have movement soon Re: Switch Homes Sorrento HOW SLOW CAN YOU GO !!! 26Jun 03, 2015 2:40 pm How hard is it really and as you said ShannaLK ridiculously frustrating (and infuriating). I'm going to take a wander over to your thread and have a sticky. Ill do a drive by later of the block hmmmmmmmm if I was a betting girl Re: Switch Homes Sorrento HOW SLOW CAN YOU GO !!! 27Jun 03, 2015 2:48 pm haha... you don't wanna miss the start either and you are so close to starting. I was visiting my site daily but lately I just get disappointed yesterday I drove past mine and there was heaps of activity, they'd finished the roof but were mucking about doing things inside, and another ute was there that looked like it was dropping things off but then when I went back later to measure something I wandered through and nothing had changed...I have no idea what they were all fluffing about doing. Just makes me wonder how quickly a house could actually get built if the builders (and tradies to an extent) were all over their time-management LOL Re: Switch Homes Sorrento HOW SLOW CAN YOU GO !!! 28Jun 04, 2015 9:27 pm Well .... If the building industry was a female dominated industry..... Just saying Re: Switch Homes Sorrento HOW SLOW CAN YOU GO !!! 29Jun 10, 2015 7:25 pm Tell me you have broken ground...fingers crossed for you! Re: Switch Homes Sorrento WE finally have movement !!! 30Jun 11, 2015 5:06 pm Well finally something to report on the retaining is complete the guys were working till 5.30 last night when I dropped by I just took a detour past and there was sand, boy was there sand, and workers on the block site works were booked for today so maybe this time it is going to schedule . I will take a look tomorrow and see. Hubby had a meeting with Switch today to find out what is going on. But for now it is a happy dance we have progress YAH !!!!!!!!! Re: Switch Homes Sorrento pics of footings and plumbing 32Jun 17, 2015 10:14 pm Re: Switch Homes Sorrento pics of footings and plumbing 34Jun 17, 2015 10:18 pm If it's done in the morning let it rain after that How is yours going V ? Re: Switch Homes Sorrento pics of footings and plumbing 35Jun 17, 2015 10:20 pm plumbing and footings was scheduled for today, but no luck. Hoping for tomorrow. Fingers crossed for a break in the rain for your slab, then its beautiful weather next week for the drying.... Re: Switch Homes Sorrento pics of footings and plumbing 36Jun 17, 2015 10:28 pm My fingers and toes are crossed for you for tomorrow then let it rain over night. A builder friend of mine told me to either pond the slab or put the sprinkler on it to reduce cracking so if it rains hopefully we won't need to that but I will ask him tomorrow what he thinks. Good luck for tomorrow Re: Switch Homes Sorrento pics of footings and plumbing 37Jun 17, 2015 10:34 pm Re: Switch Homes Sorrento WE HAVE BEEN SLABBED !!! 38Jun 18, 2015 9:50 pm Any electricians here please help. 1) Will the Fan need separate switch to ON/OFF/Speed eventhough it comes with Remote 2) how about… 0 1149 Ask for references and speak to them.
