Re: Mightily Modified Metford 33 126Oct 15, 2016 8:56 am SteveMc Have you got your practical completion letter yet ? Not yet, still a couple of key items to go: garage door, cedar cladding to porch and al fresco ceilings, external painting, additional interior painting, concreting, deck. Not sure if all these need to be done before the letter can be issued. How can you even stand the thought of being away for two whole weeks?? We went camping for five nights last holidays and I was desperate to get home after a few days. When we did get back we ditched the kids, hopped in the other car and went straight over without unpacking a single thing. Anyway, hope you do get to do your walk through when you get back! Re: Mightily Modified Metford 33 128Oct 16, 2016 6:18 am LOL Red, it's been a crazy year and I'm very tired so need a break from everything. My absence might make the rest of the build go faster Building a customised Metford 33 with Rawson Homes in Canberra Build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76866 Blog: https://canberragalsmetford.wordpress.com/ Re: Mightily Modified Metford 33 129Oct 17, 2016 11:37 am Canberra_gal LOL Red, it's been a crazy year and I'm very tired so need a break from everything. My absence might make the rest of the build go faster Well that's all well and good for you but what am I supposed to do between updates? Did you even think about that? Re: Mightily Modified Metford 33 130Oct 21, 2016 11:32 pm Update via husband: garage door installed, last our electricals just about done and a big pile of sand has been delivered in the front yard. I'm hopeful that's for the concreters to lay the base for our deck, replace the heater/air con slab they had to dig up earlier and lay the driveway Building a customised Metford 33 with Rawson Homes in Canberra Build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76866 Blog: https://canberragalsmetford.wordpress.com/ Re: Mightily Modified Metford 33 131Oct 23, 2016 1:48 pm Friends dropped by the house and sent me this pic. Is driveway the last thing? Not quite - still have porch and al fresco cladding and decking in al fresco and wrapped around the back of the house plus all external painting. SS not happy with the quality of the interior painting in some rooms, so some more work to go yet. Hopefully PCI in 2 weeks but we'll see about that Building a customised Metford 33 with Rawson Homes in Canberra Build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76866 Blog: https://canberragalsmetford.wordpress.com/ Re: Mightily Modified Metford 33 135Nov 04, 2016 5:32 pm Argh. We're at a standstill again. So flipping close and still no cigar. Driveway and back concrete paths poured, as well as the replacement slab for the aircon unit. But still lots of fiddly bits to do and no sign of any tradies onsite this whole week. Pfft.
