Re: Plantation Homes (Queensland) 62Jun 16, 2015 7:25 pm Just wondering if anyone knows if it would be possible for us to change our internal paint colour at this stage? We are at rough-in. We had last minute panic that colour is too dark and we want to go with the quarter version of the colour. Re: Plantation Homes (Queensland) 63Jun 16, 2015 7:32 pm Should be able to. We changed our colour for our alfresco post at rough-in when we realised there was a downpipe attached to it. They'll most likely charge you a full admin fee though. They only charged us $50 because it was just one thing changing to a colour they were already using for other externals. But im still not 100% sure if we should change it or not....its our whole house so want to get it right. Anyone used this colour before? I think we might have to get some samples and test it out. Re: Plantation Homes (Queensland) 68Jun 17, 2015 9:12 am Painting is something that's relatively easy to change later, but it would cost more than $150 to repaint the house yeah. Maybe get a couple of big A2 sheets of cardboard from officeworks or something, and a couple of test pots, and paint them and see what you think? If you gonna make changes check evrything over and see if u need to make other changes! Re: Plantation Homes (Queensland) 70Jun 17, 2015 5:25 pm Thanks guys. Yeah think we will get some testers. They said I can let them know on Monday...so will stew over it this wknd. TJ i thought you would have to pay the admin fee for each change. Am i wrong? Re: Plantation Homes (Queensland) 71Jun 17, 2015 6:05 pm We made a few small changes they didn't charge us extra.. I think it's within reason they wouldn't mind... Re: Plantation Homes (Queensland) 72Jul 01, 2015 8:34 pm Hey guys... Our painters have been delayed again!!! They were suppose to start this week, but has been delayed to next Wednesday... That's means 2.5 weeks of nothing.. Sigh... So we are looking at early August which is just within the contracted time... The clarendon home near us is pretty much at handover in 2 weeks and they started nearly 3 weeks later.. Re: Plantation Homes (Queensland) 73Jul 01, 2015 8:38 pm Oh wow tj, I hope ours don't get delayed too! I haven't been told of any delays yet...What a pain, I hope they get it sorted out! They have til the 20th of August... They started started 5 feb.. Re: Plantation Homes (Queensland) 75Jul 01, 2015 8:46 pm They can claim any of the claimable days within the last week or something I believe. So they may try to claim rain delays or something if they need to push it out. I hope they don't! I'll have to check ... My admin was telling me they have 196 days from site start including delays from weather etc.. Re: Plantation Homes (Queensland) 77Jul 01, 2015 9:20 pm Maybe I'm misreading the contract, but that was the impression I got. It's pretty vague... And make sure that you continue to check it each time. We have a mystery PCV of $1738 that keeps showing up even though they said it was superceded and doesn't apply, and a credit of -$43 that keeps NOT showing up. We've only got 2 invoices to go and I don't want the final payment to be delayed because of their mistake. Now on to our FIFTH admin and THIRD SS. Apparently our admin/SS team has been shunted to Ready Built, so they're still around which is good I guess. So close to PCI too And of course the new one can't give me our PCI date yet. I hope this doesn't push it out.
