Browse Forums Building A New House Re: My Mainvue Amalfi 428 262Sep 25, 2015 8:22 am mlp18 Quick question for everyone, I've read conflicting info about utility and NBN connection. I presumed I had to organise all that post handover, but others have written that Mainvue organise it to be transferred to me. Any thoughts?? Hi regarding NBN, when i built with Henley last year all they did was ensure the cables were installed correctly, after handover i organised with the isp that i had chosen for nbn to come and do all the connections (eg installing their equipment - their box). Regarding electricity, Mainvue should be transferring that out of their name to yours once handover is done and dusted. They also should have already organise for the gas to be connected (you would have to sign some documents allowing them to do it), but i couldn't figure out whether they paid for it or not so I just paid, it wasn't that much. I think it was already in my name so yeah... Hope that makes sense, good luck on getting a handover date. PS is that the truffle scheme? Looks good, although not sure about the mud pack as mine was slightly darker than yours Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! So close. All the items from PCI are currently getting rectified. Just keep packing..... How exciting Megan, we had our NHP last Thursday and we have our settlement on Monday so it shouldn't be too long for you after your NHP 😊 but we wont be moving in for about 10 days after settlement due to flooring/concreting etc so close now Building Henley Lexington Lux Q3 Re: My Mainvue Amalfi 428 267Sep 25, 2015 6:44 pm tns mlp18 NHP set for Tuesday with a handover date to be decided then. I'm so ready to go. My house is covered in boxes. My certificate of occupancy apparently went through so settlement shouldn't need to be delayed. Re: My Mainvue Amalfi 428 268Sep 25, 2015 7:41 pm That's ace, Megan! We had our house inspected today for Certificate of occupancy, and have to increase the height of one of our fences (doing this tomorrow), which is a bit of a pain. but, ah well. So happy that you're nearly in. Can't believe how quick this has all happened. More deliveries Wed including appliances at 7am! No sleep in for me. Oh well it will be worth it. I'll be cutting it fine with the final cheque. My advice is get the bank in for inspection asap! Re: My Mainvue Amalfi 428 280Oct 02, 2015 10:43 am Whilst I usually love a public holiday, not today. Can't get bank evaluation report because of PH. It will be sent Monday, but of course it's a PH in NSW on Monday where the bank is. 8am handover on Tuesday is looking very unlikely. |
