Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 5Apr 06, 2015 1:08 pm Wow! nice and big! Love the elevation too! Good luck with the build! They've just started my build down in Baldivis, had site works last week, it's super exciting! Hope it goes as smooth as possible for you! Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 6Apr 06, 2015 2:31 pm We are very excited and a bit nervous lol any suggestions for adjustments to our plan and tips for the building process are gladly welcomed Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 7Apr 06, 2015 4:11 pm I have a thing about doors. If this was my build i would add a door to the back of the garage so i had access from the garage to the backyard (we keep a lot of garden stuff in our garage, saves us going through the house-also for when you come back from the beach etc and you have dirty feet/body you can go through the laundry straight to the bathroom) I would also add a door on the study just in case it ever does get used as another bedroom. I also put a door on my ensuite because im prudish like that but you might like it open Otherwise i like the plan Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 8Apr 06, 2015 4:16 pm Haha i have a thing for doors too we will definitely be putting a door to the left/rear of the garage. Also adding double doors to theatre. And closing off games room with a door as this will become partners "man cave"...apparently. lol Never thought about putting a door on ensuite but definitely a good idea as someone showering/etc while im trying to sleep would *** me off haha Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 9Apr 06, 2015 4:29 pm I like it! I'm a doors gal. WIR's too, clothes can never look tidy IMO (Coming from someone who must have matching hangers) Do you have a slider from the games to the alfresco? Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 10Apr 06, 2015 4:33 pm nice to know im not the only one who's pedantic about doors haha. Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 11Apr 06, 2015 4:35 pm Thats another thing we're adding. And also thinging about mayb puting a window to the side of the house on bedroom3. Not sure if there will be enough natural light with just that tiny little one. Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 12Apr 06, 2015 4:39 pm I would put the extra window Even its just another little one. Make sure you keep in mind furniture orientation though! Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 13Apr 06, 2015 4:41 pm Good point. The window in the bedroom behind it, along the same wall doesnt go down the full legth of the wall, only along the top.. so maybe ill just do another one of those... for furniture orientation Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 15Apr 06, 2015 6:38 pm My changes would be double door entry to house, doors on study/bed 5 and also maybe change window in games too sliding door, door into scullery, doors on WIR and double doors to theatre I am a door person too haha I would move shower in ensuite to left wall and make double shower and then centre the double vanity, extend bench in laundry across to wall and if not done already hide your laundry washing machine taps in the laundry cupboard under the sink also if you have 4x4 extend garage roof to 28c I removed my 2nd fridge freezer recess in the scullery and made that cupboards as I don't think I'll utilise the space if it was a fridge freezer place Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 16Apr 06, 2015 6:47 pm Thats exactly how we are having our ensuite @natalie92.. i wanted a freestanding bath too lol but not willing to make my WIR smaller lol We also are upgrading to double door entry and also adding sliding doors to games room We have a big chest freezer that they will build our freezer recess around. Geeze hopefully all these bloody doors wont cost us too much. Lol Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 18Apr 06, 2015 7:30 pm Aww man. I really loved mine until i saw yours. Haha so jealous of ur wardrobes. Your house is HUGE! Wish we could get a bigger lot. All the plans we liked were too big for our lot. Which plan is yours? Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 19Apr 06, 2015 7:31 pm Thats not much at all for doors. I thought it would be much more. Do u by any chance know the price for sliding doors? I want sliding doors from our games room to the alfresco. Re: building in Lakelands, WA with HGWA 20Apr 06, 2015 7:35 pm Our plan is based off the Mediterranean but we did some changes. Sliding doors I don't have a price but I am wanting 2 sliding doors so I'll let u know when I go to pre start I have a lot of prices though so let me know if you need a price on anything I can give you a rough idea go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110550 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11033 |
