Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building in Calderwood Valley 21Jun 14, 2015 2:21 pm Are the blocks reasonably flat? What's the price range? Re: Building in Calderwood Valley 23Jun 24, 2015 6:55 am tr35ka Pranil07 how did you find Eden brae? Hi, eden brae sales side were good but the build was not that great due to poor contractors but this was like 8 years ago they have definitely improved. Also they didn't have fixed priced contracts and we did have to pay for a few things out of pocket. Re: Building in Calderwood Valley 24Aug 30, 2015 7:32 pm Ive spoken to the girls at the Shellharbour Square sales centre and they seem very confident that stage 1 will be going ahead as planned, we got in the last release so im hoping it keeps on going smoothly. Hopefully we don't get alot of rain like we got last week ;/ Re: Building in Calderwood Valley 25Aug 31, 2015 2:24 pm Hi Is anyone waiting for the Second Stage land Release. Any tips on how to get in quick. I was told there is roughly 35 blocks up for grabs? Would any one know if they all get releases at once. Many Thanks Re: Building in Calderwood Valley 26Aug 31, 2015 2:31 pm BindiJames Hi Is anyone waiting for the Second Stage land Release. Any tips on how to get in quick. I was told there is roughly 35 blocks up for grabs? Would any one know if they all get releases at once. Many Thanks BindiJames, My advice would be to use a computer with NBN access, we tried using our home and work computers and missed out then got told of another land buyer to use Kiama Library as they have NBN and thats how they got thru we did this and both got through (only one of us could buy tho) we finished in the top10 using NBN internet. we logged in 10mins before and kept refreshing last was one pretty much right on time so keep refreshing. Good luck!! Re: Building in Calderwood Valley 27Aug 31, 2015 2:33 pm peternkye BindiJames Hi Is anyone waiting for the Second Stage land Release. Any tips on how to get in quick. Re: Building in Calderwood Valley 28Aug 31, 2015 2:36 pm Thanks for your advise, do you know if they release all the blocks at once or in stages? i believe there are only 35 in the next release, doesnt leave you with much of a chance where there are hundred of people wanting blocks . Re: Building in Calderwood Valley 29Aug 31, 2015 2:41 pm Thanks Peter, i was speaking to Ben at the sales center yesterday and he mentioned they are hoping for another release 4 weeks after this next one so fingers crossed it may be stage 3 which is the area we want. I know i think its been pretty much the same with the other releases we didnt even get a look in the 1st one then the 2nd one hubby got a call offering a 300sqm block with was no good for us.. its pretty hard and fustrating but stick with it like i said we used nbn and that was lightening quick i put my mobile number in the search area and right clicked copied it so as soon as i got the link i right clicked and pasted your name is already pre filled. Worked for us and a few other people i know of so its worth a shot. We never expected to finish top10 so only really considered a smaller 450 block but ended up bring lucky enough to get a 615sqm block. So hang in there hopefully you get thru Re: Building in Calderwood Valley 31Aug 31, 2015 2:44 pm Thanks Peter, i was speaking to Ben at the sales center yesterday and he mentioned they are hoping for another release 4 weeks after this next one so fingers crossed. When you say you didnt get in the first but did the second did they release blocks in stages for the first release? Do you know how many blocks were sold? Re: Building in Calderwood Valley 36Aug 31, 2015 3:50 pm BindiJames Sounds perfect, Good luck with your building. Thanks we looked at almost every builder there are so many options out there its crazy!! Do you already know who your going to build with? Re: Building in Calderwood Valley 37Sep 02, 2015 2:19 pm We love Eden Brae one house in particular however we will most likely build privately at this stage. Re: Building in Calderwood Valley 38Sep 17, 2015 8:05 am Hi all, we are having plans done by our builder and getting them to quote our driveway, when we were sold the block my wife and I are 100% that we were told the plain concrete "pad" that crosses over the path and the street cut in will be done by the estate and then we do colour concrete from the boundary. Now we are being told by the estate that in this particular estate they are not doing it this and we need to pay for the pad? Was anyone else told this?
