Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Taps on the block 263Oct 07, 2015 1:39 pm Just got sent a photo from our new neighbours - there was action on our block today! They've installed taps today. (Ignore our grass.. I need to get down and mow our block ). Pretty excited, wasn't expecting any action to happen until our finance was 100%... unless our brokers not telling us something... Valuation came back over the weekend. The bank valued the land based on the contract price rather than the market value - but we were told a lot of banks may ignore the market value as we'd only owned the land for a few months (we purchased the land pretty cheap - Market value's more, and it's up to the banks discretion to re-valuate the land). Though still a good outcome, the bank didn't undervalue anything. Just waiting for final approval on it all now. I'll be more than happy for him to keep doing our lawns once our house is built. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Taps on the block 272Oct 08, 2015 8:23 pm Haha the same thing happened to us! I picked up my brother-in-law's mower and went to mow it the weekend before our scrape and the estate had mown it. Couldn't justify the price difference to drop it down. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Taps on the block 277Oct 16, 2015 5:18 pm Thanks Snyde, Thats true as well. Lot of decisons to make Concrete Tile roof or Colorbond :0 many more. Im building Lexington Lux Q2 I got an email today from Admin saying that I cant move the return air from near the butlers Pantry if im going to have a door in the hallway near kitchen and dinning towards other bedrooms. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Taps on the block 278Oct 16, 2015 5:24 pm Ha, there's a lot of debate with tile vs colourboard. We chose colourbond for the extra security of not being able to just lift tiles, and we both love the sound of rain on the roof. Make it feel country like. What stage are you at? Return air is tricky, we had an issue with ours, but the only available place we could move it ended up worse in our opinion. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Taps on the block 279Oct 16, 2015 5:34 pm Haha Yes we done our colour appointment and picked tile roof hoping to change it in tender if we want to go with colorbond. I like the rain noise too. Only thing is Im planning to do the evap post-handover and wonder whether that will be ok to do. Yes In our original plan it’s next to BP and we want make the BP bit bigger hence moving to near hallway where we adding a door too. I think the door will lose and BP wins in order to keep the misses happy . We got our tender appointment next week. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Taps on the block 280Oct 16, 2015 6:49 pm The roofing shouldn't effect evap cooling if you're doing it after handover. Either way is do-able with no issues. We spoke to a few helpful people at the home shows about it. Think we're still going to do split systems instead though. Good luck with tender, it's pretty straight forward. You can take tender home to sign if needed.. so don't feel pressured to sign on the spot. Would any one know if Henley Homes is a good Builder to use I seen many reasonable but also many poor reviews With so many builder going bust I thought they would be a… 0 330 It seems very clear to me that your contract states that a security account does NOT need to be established so the answer to the builder is NO. If in doubt find a contract… 1 6361 2 28568 |
