Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Lights, Taps, Fitoffs... 681Jun 02, 2016 4:41 pm Just wondering, has anyone included a promotion pack, but then removed parts of it? E.g. the kitchen magnificence pack is $3,990 which we have selected, but we will be providing the appliances etc ourself. Do you know how much you get back if you opt out of the ceaserstone, shelving in pantry and things like that? We will do this ourself later on. Just trying to see how much of the $3,990 we would get back. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Lights, Taps, Fitoffs... 682Jun 02, 2016 8:57 pm Thanks guys! Making progress. Not quite as much as I hoped, I underestimated the job a little. Henleybuild - not too sure about creditbacks on promotions. I'd assume it'd void the promotion? Best to ask your admin. Some progress pics - flooring is now half done. Entry way is also done too. Temp side fence done (thanks to Lisa's old man). Will put a proper gate once the driveway is done. Skirting to the master cut (but not fitted) Oven got fitted: Moisture barrier went down: Glue got troweled, then rubber underlay put down: Rubber underlay done Flooring delivered: Progress made on the flooring. It's still raw, once sanded and coated the true colours should really come out. Can't wait for that. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Lights, Taps, Fitoffs... 684Jun 02, 2016 11:44 pm Snyde it's looking amazing but you must be exhausted! viewtopic.php?t=81336 Building with MainVue...Modified Ivory 436...our journey Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Lights, Taps, Fitoffs... 686Jun 04, 2016 8:42 pm It's such a massive job, def exhausted but it's worth it! Thanks guys. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Lights, Taps, Fitoffs... 687Jun 12, 2016 3:49 pm Floors have finally been laid. Sanding and coating is underway with the last coats going on tomorrow, then keeping off them for a week.
In the end we laid 520 boards (100sqm weighing at 1.4 tonnes of flooring), 100sq metres of rubber underlay, trowelled 200sqm of glue, and rolled 200sqm of moisture barrier over 2.5 weeks at 14 hour days some days. Exhausted but it's paid off! Deliveries and other work are commencing next weekend. For now, Here's a sneak peak at the floors with their first coat on... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Feeling super proud too, there's the odd 1 or 2 little hiccups we done, but the sander complimented our work, and said it's a lot better than half the jobs he's seen, even ones done by chippies. Hopefully move in just after next weekend. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Lights, Taps, Fitoffs... 691Jun 12, 2016 5:37 pm Is your waffle slab fine on your h2 soil classification? I'm building with plantation homes and gonna get a waffle slab and also have h2 soil. Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Lights, Taps, Fitoffs... 692Jun 12, 2016 5:47 pm Fine so far. Spoke to a few people including engineers before allowing the waffle, but the amount of rock under my block should prevent it from moving. Don't forget Henley offer a 50 yr structural guarantee too, so it's in their best interest to make sure it's engineered good enough to handle the soil it's on. In Plantation Homes, you get eaves all around the house. Is this a Melbourne thing or something else? Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Spotted gum floors down 697Jun 12, 2016 10:10 pm It looks fantastic you should be so stoked with your efforts! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81627&p=1505759#p1505759 Re: Henley Carmelle Lux Q2 - Spotted gum floors down 698Jun 13, 2016 12:02 pm Thanks guys. They aren't that dark now that the coating has dried, but look absolutely unreal in person. Putty and final coats going on today. The sander treats it like an art, has such a big process that lot of places don't tend to do. As for the eaves around the house, that's an upgrade here in melb.
