Our Build Thread - JG king Memphis Re: Building custom home with JG King 29Sep 14, 2015 5:22 pm Hi, All the painting is completed and NO progress for the past few weeks. Trying to reach my supervisor and his manager over the phone, but no luck. Sent a email to JG King contract administrator about it and she now moved to different role and she forwarded my contact/emil to someone else. Hope someday some one calls me! I hate people do this particularly waiting for year and half for this! Re: Building custom home with JG King 30Sep 14, 2015 7:33 pm Ah sounds painful hope they get in contact soon and progress continoues Our Build Thread - JG king Memphis Re: Building custom home with JG King 31Oct 20, 2015 4:03 pm After sometime posting Electrical work is completed. Re: Building custom home with JG King 33Nov 12, 2015 2:04 pm Almost there.. i hope by end of this month or early next month I should get the keys and move in! Spent almost 2 hours with my supervisor today to go over everything. Few minor things which I upgraded was NOT there, he said it will be fixed and hopefully should be ready in two weeks. I've organized plantation shutter for the street facing windows and rest everything black out blinds and hopefully it should be done. All the electrical work are almost done. Last year April/June I moved out of my place and hopefully by Dec'15 I should be moving in. The flooring work is going and completed. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ One big ticket item is GAS connection. Hopefully I should get this next week already 3 weeks delay. If that goes well then I should move in by December. Still keeping my finger crossed! Re: Building custom home with JG King 35Nov 22, 2015 9:02 am That great that you have light at the end of the tunnel i hope you are in before christmas. Our Build Thread - JG king Memphis Re: Building custom home with JG King 37May 13, 2016 5:57 pm Finally 90 day (almost 5 months later) inspection completed. Everything was super slow. Many things could have been done better. There are few issues i would like to share. 1. Fridge cavity height I requested 1800mm, my old fridge won't fit, so bought a fridge which was 1789mm and it won't fit after great struggle i returned it back. When I spoke with them he said the height measured from the concrete and 10mm taken by kitchen tile. If you are building please make sure you have enough space. 2. Bathroom shower water stays after shower in the corner. They say use "squeegee" after the shower and they can't do about about it! 3. Almost 5 months still my spa is NOT usable. 4. I've installed my own flooring and hear different noise in few places. The flooring guy came and told me the concrete is NOT even hence it make hallow noise. 5. Outside cleaning was NOT done. 6. When I got a keys the cleaning was NOT done properly, after moving all the cupboards in the bathroom full of old coffee cups, cigarette but etc. It took almost half a day clean up. For them it's one among the 1000 houses, but for me it's THE HOUSE!! Very unprofessional approach overall. The supervisor is very good and I haven't had any issues, but the JG King can do better than this. Another unhappy customer's story. 1 1053 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending. All their existing trades and businesses don't work with… 14 73941 |
