Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Home Group WA Build 1210Mar 24, 2016 2:54 pm kellie_87 I tried to take a photo but it was hard with the sun.. but you can kind of see what the issue is. All the lumps and bumps of the MDF doors show up really really badly with black paint. They prepped them and came back twice to fix them up but they just don't look good Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ask them to 2 pac the doors. It's almost like power coating and is usually done on kitchen cabinets for that nice gloss finish. Keep at em Re: Home Group WA Build - A bit over it.. 1212Mar 24, 2016 11:11 pm Hi I just notice your thread. your frontage render of your house looks fantastic I know it been asked, sorry to have asked you again but could you please tell me the color of your render frontage? is the roof, windows trim, gutters, fascia and garage woodland grey and the rest of the light color is dulux Dulux Pavingstone. thanks Re: Home Group WA Build - A bit over it.. 1213Mar 25, 2016 1:29 pm I wonder if they actually used 40mm thick slabs on the show room benchtops, rather than 2x20mm ones? Is it the 20mm joins or the 45 degree miter, or both, that look different to the display? I agree that if they can show it on the display then it should be done like that on yours. Nope it's definitely 2 x 20mm pieces. You can find the join when you get down on your hands and knees and have the light shining on it lol whereas ours you can see when you stand back a metre or so. Just so unhappy with it when the showroom one looks flawless. What colour is the showroom one? I have noticed that different colours tend to show the join more or less. Also I'm wondering if they got dirt etc when gluing the 2 together and that is why the join is showing up, and why after sanding it back its still there because the whole join was not a clean join - if you know what i mean. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: Home Group WA Build - A bit over it.. 1216Mar 25, 2016 1:56 pm shellby Quote: They've already come and buffed it twice now it's starting to get "flat" edges on the mitred part. Yep the showroom's the same colour. Yeah I know what you mean about the join I have sent another email off so hopefully we hear back early next week. It's just been going on for so long now I don't understand why we are expected to accept it like that when it's clear a better job can be done. Re: Home Group WA Build - A bit over it.. 1218Mar 25, 2016 2:47 pm cat_dunc Is the join in the top two panels that clear the whole way along? There's a section probably 30-40cm in the right hand corner that they've made look really really good. The rest is visible like the photo. I'm worried about them over buffing it as there are already some flat areas appearing on the corner edges.
