Hope it gets sorted soon and you get a PCI date Thanks koll, we were scheduled to have PCI early next week but who knows now. Depends how this driveway issue plays out. Re: Home Group WA Build - Exposed Aggregate 1069Feb 23, 2016 11:53 am That sucks right at the end.. I hope that it is sorted by the end of the week for you .. My Home Group build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77067 Re: Home Group WA Build - Exposed Aggregate 1070Feb 24, 2016 10:18 am Kel need your help, our bulkhead gets installed today and have no idea how low to go, in the kitchen is your ceilings 31c and then you dropped your bulkhead to 28c where your overheads are?? Yep 31c ceilings and 28c bulkhead Re: Home Group WA Build - Exposed Aggregate 1073Feb 24, 2016 11:07 am Mine is also 31c dropped to 28c for the bulkhead. How exciting it will look awesome. Re: Home Group WA Build - Exposed Aggregate 1074Feb 25, 2016 6:03 pm kellie_87 The concreter's solution is to pack it out with sealer. We're not very happy with that at all as I think it's more of a 'patch up' than a solution and for the amount we paid for the aggregate we want it done properly. Now we're just waiting to hear back from SS to see what he thinks. The wings on the end of the driveway were done wrong too and the guy told OH he 'didn't even look at the plans' so that's a bit ridiculous too. We'll see what happens I guess. It's a bummer because we're right at the end of the build and were meant to have PCI soon, didn't really need this I wouldn't be happy with that solution either! Hope they sort it out and there are no delays.... Re: Home Group WA Build - Exposed Aggregate 1075Feb 25, 2016 9:04 pm I'd be surprised if that works, some sealer turns white if too much is applied and left to pool. Plus sealer is sealer, not a filler. By pooling it to pack it out is against sealer manufacturer instructions, well all the sealer I have seen, so two wrongs don't make a right. In the end they just don't want to rip up you driveway to redo it as that is probably the only solution. Stick to your guns. Re: Home Group WA Build - Exposed Aggregate 1076Feb 25, 2016 11:25 pm WOW KELLIE YOUR HOUSE LOOKS AMAZING!!! I have just read through all 108 Tapatalk pages haha. We are about to start the process of building with HGWA. We gave built once before (8years ago) and have just finished renovating the house we are in now. Do you mind me asking what sort of money your build ended up costing? We fell in love with the Southport design which is 242k standard but the display is $442k - massive difference! Im led to believe the average is about 350k. Im so excited to see the end result of your build. Amy Re: Home Group WA Build - Exposed Aggregate 1077Feb 26, 2016 1:12 am Oh Kel! What were they thinking? The only real fix will be to start again coz they cant just add to it now. SO frustrating for you. On a positive note your kitchen and bathroom are stunning! Amy we are building the southport but have added extra bedroom and made bit bigger. our total build so far is $280 and thats unfinished, no main floor coverings and only stone in the kitchen Re: Home Group WA Build - Exposed Aggregate 1080Feb 26, 2016 11:15 pm yer we are the same, i recon we could easily upgrade everything if we had the cash but we dont so only the things that are way to hard to change we are upgrading and just saving like mad for the rest to be done later Thank you so much everyone.
