DH has done some measurements... the only difference between the 45 and the 50 is that the 50 is 1m longer and 0.5m wider. They have shifted the house to make the gap next to the back garage door slightly bigger. Alfresco is still the same size though as the 45 alfresco goes all the way to the side wall whereas the 50 does not.... we don't think its worth paying an extra $24k for it. I have picked up so so much from all the Glendale threads I have read and it is great to see your one complete Glendale38 So glad to read that there is a 45 now on display at Mernda, when I checked the display locations it was only showing up 38's and 39's so we haven't been able to see it with the rumpus option on there! We went and checked out the 45 today so that we could see it with the rumpus like the 42 will have (ground floor is same dimensions as 42) and yep, we love it!!!!!! We have paid our $1k deposit and will sit with them in a week or two when our soil test results come back to go over our initial quotes! What are your recommendations as MUST HAVES? Stairs have been slightly upgraded, again would have loved to go all out and do lovely stunning timber staircase with glass balustrades but budget just won't stretch! This is the hardest part of building, we tried staying within a "budget" and pretty much blew it at Studio M, Tiles and Electrical!
