Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building our coral homes modified Casurina plan in Ormea 103May 29, 2015 7:49 pm We have received the final invoice, but that's pretty obvious as it's probably the first thing they do, haha. Anyway we have a walk through on Thursday 4th. Can't wait. But our letter from the builder says if there's no issues we can be in on the 11th no less than 2 weeks from pci but the ss said the 10th grrrr. Just want to be in asap, lol Re: Building our coral homes modified Casurina plan in Ormea 104May 29, 2015 8:11 pm That's so exciting! Very jealous right now! So impressed with the build time and minimal issues . Roll on Thursday, the 2 week wait from there will be killer. Hope you guys have started packing. Re: Building our coral homes modified Casurina plan in Ormea 106May 29, 2015 9:30 pm Thank you. We're pretty excited, just hope there isn't many issues and we can be in around that date. But yes the ss has been good with coordinating work and there's normally been someone on site working so it's great to see compared to some horror stories you hear. Lol no haven't started packing yet. Will get onto it soon though. Re: Building our coral homes modified Casurina plan in Ormea 107May 30, 2015 10:26 am So true about your ss he has been very good and there shouldn't be many issues at PCI, agree there are so many horror stories and it makes me nervous. Glad you guys avoided that drama. Hahahhaha fair enough you have two weeks to pack, (I think I'll need to start packing a month in advance as 5 kids have so much stuff) mr tribe is determined to park his car in our garage at the new house, at the moment mine fits but we have a full wall of floor to ceiling metal racking full of outdoor toys, bikes and basically everything with wheels he said he is going to cull a lot of it, when I mentioned his skateboards and surf boards could do with a cull he went quite . Re: Building our coral homes modified Casurina plan in Ormea 108Jun 03, 2015 9:40 pm Sorry I missed this reply. well we srr lucky it's just the 2 of us and this was only a temp place for us that we stayed at too long, lol but that means that half our stuff is still in boxes. Lol you can't throw the big boy toys away, I'm the same we may want to use them one day. We have our walk through tomorrow we can't wait. Hopefully there isn't any problems. Happy with our bank though, sent the final invoice off on Tues morn, had a call today with some questions about our variations payment but basically said the check is ready to go. Valuation was done and everything is fine. Couldn't believe it. Couple of issues but mainly just scuff marks, paint etc he said should be still on track for next Thurs or Friday depending on our gas line install. I was really surprised about the bank to be honest, that's the first I've ever heard of a bank not being a problem, haha Re: Building our coral homes modified Casurina plan in Ormea 111Jun 04, 2015 3:29 pm Haha, neither have I!!!! Re: Building our coral homes modified Casurina plan in Ormea 116Jun 05, 2015 7:05 am Thank you all. We are pretty happy with how it all turned out and how quickly it went without any major problems. Now to get motivated and finish off the packing over the weekend ready to go. Bobcat has already been and gone, I bought two trucks of soil in and they smooth out about a trucks worth and then moved the rest into a pile out the back for when we move in. Wasn't exactly how we wanted it but they needed natural ground level for the engineer to sign off so I can understand. At least they got it out the back for me. We will try and get some pics when we move in. Will keep you updated. Re: Building our coral homes modified Casurina plan in Ormea 117Jun 11, 2015 6:02 pm Bit of an update, we are in tomorrow afternoon sometime. Not sure of the time yet, lol. But it'll be in the afternoon, house still needs work tomorrow morning and next week but we said we needed to be in this weekend and he was happy with that if we allowed access for some items to be fixed which we are happy about. Great news about the bob cat, least a portion is smoothed out and you can figure out what to do with the rest.
