Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 22, 2015 7:04 pm I have just started looking at plans for my first home, I fell in love with Coral Homes Marcoola 30 in my area but realise display homes have the best options of everything. So I am hoping people on here that have built with coral before can help me out with different pricing on upgrades and such. The cost of the different facades and upgrading the kitchen to include waterfall edges. Any info really would be helpful. I am not planning on building till early next year I just thought finding out as much as possible now would better prepare me. Thanks Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 30 info 2Mar 22, 2015 7:34 pm The best idea is to talk to the sales consultant and get a preliminary estimate on all the inclusions you would like, on a no obligation basis. Bear in mind extras for electricals etc, over the standard. If you already have a block of land they may be able to give you an idea of site costs but with out a full survey and soil tests, they can not give you a firm price for site works. Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 30 info 3Mar 22, 2015 8:18 pm 40mm waterfall edges showed up in our quote at $2000ish. Somewhere between 2 and 3. Then to upgrade the benches to 40mm was another few grand. In a lot of their new display homes I think they are trying to display them with the inclusions rather than upgrading everything but beat thing to do would be to speak with a consultant and ask for a list of as on display upgrades, so you can walk through and see just how much everything costs. We are at tender stage and I dropped in to Beaumont to see what tiles come as standard as I was impressed M Y C U S T O M C O R A L B R O N T E 43 ...............Kitchen! 16 Nov 2016 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79581 Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 30 info 4Mar 23, 2015 11:43 am I asked my SC to walk through the display with me and tell me what was an upgrade and what was included in the Indulgence package (no longer available) that we were signing up for. I was quite surprised at the inclusions and we ended up upgrading only a few things on top of the Indulgence. I'd suggest doing something similar if you can, it makes it much easier to work out if you are happy with the standard inclusions or if you'd want to upgrade a lot. So that's also an option for you too. viewtopic.php?t=76386 Re: Coral Homes Marcoola 30 info 7Mar 24, 2015 12:04 pm Also check the kitchen - in some displays they have working designs and lists of inclusions in a booklet in the kitchen somewhere. Sometimes its hiding in draws. Some display houses have small little changes to make them look better, like the noosa 23 i built, the display had an extra 30cm added to overall length to allow them to put in a sliding glass door to the laundry over a standard 820mm door. Apart from the obvious door difference, you can't tell the house has another 30cm. My Noosa 23 Build - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72782 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13718 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1683 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74219 |
