But they seem to have a hurry up on so that's good. Re: Building a Coral Homes Daydream 30 in Karalee 68Aug 08, 2015 12:47 pm I think everyone thinks that, we could of gone nuts with the upgrades but the line has to be drawn somewhere. It's a lovely colour, looks very stylish. You will have one very happy niece . That's good if they have a hurry on it won't be long Re: Building a Coral Homes Daydream 30 in Karalee 70Aug 20, 2015 9:24 am Hey Tribe! I wish, and I'll also wish for half the speed that yours has progressed too We're still contesting the 3k charge for wood posts on the alfresco. Bit of a shame but I'm staying positive. Hopefully have an update soon... Building a Coral Homes Daydream 30 in Karalee 71Aug 20, 2015 10:47 pm Hey defdaz, From the coral builds I have watched in QLD you will be in for a quick ride. It would be worth asking?? That's the way positive makes for a good experience . Look forward to it, I get excited when I see a update from you, really looking forward to seeing you start. Re: Building a Coral Homes Daydream 30 in Karalee 72Aug 21, 2015 10:17 am No wooden posts to our alfresco so I am unable to help sorry. Hopefully it gets sorted out for you soon though! My build viewtopic.php?t=76386 Re: Building a Coral Homes Daydream 30 in Karalee 73Aug 21, 2015 10:46 am Thanks both, I might just have to go back to brick posts. No dramas! We have a Colorbond roof on a slightly modified Daydream 30 in Deebing Heights, west of Springfield Lakes. You extended your alfresco area correct? Does this $3000 include any additional structural support for the extension? Ask for clarification on the brick supports and ask them in writing if the brick pillars have a steel beam in the middle. If they confirm it does then you have more weight with your argument as you are merely replacing steel for wood. Fortunately I finally spoke to the National Estimating Manager and I finally spoke to someone with a bit of nouse about them and sanity has prevailed! New cost = $17!!! Ridiculous really but there you go. It pays to stick to your guns sometimes! It's cost us a couple of weeks but since I've saved 3k I have to be happy. I am not sure whether I want to take things further and make a complaint but we'll see. Re: Building a Coral Homes Daydream 30 in Karalee 78Aug 25, 2015 11:26 am Well done dafdaz! Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck? Thanks 0 11299 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14020 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4365 |
