May I ask which colour bricks you used? Thanks Sorry I didn't see your question! Probably far too late now but bricks are access cream... standard inclusion Building a Porter Davis Livingstone 23 in Mayfield, Cranbourne East | Our thread 18/05/15 - Contract Signed 24/12/15 - Land Settlement 30/1/16 - Slab poured 9/06/16 - Handover Re: Building Porter Davis "Livingstone" in SE Melbourne 63Jul 11, 2016 2:06 am I keep forgetting this thread but now we're in I wanted to update with some photos. Handover was a month yesterday and we'll have been in a month on Tuesday. Overall we've been loving it and with a few minor issues at the start that were sorted by our SS within a couple of days there hasn't been much to add to our 3 month check list. Moving into a new estate has caused a few headaches we weren't anticipating though... no wifi or tv for almost three weeks until could get Opticomm out to connect us up and discovering Australia post won't deliver to us yet (construction zone/OH&S issue?!) and having to hire a PO Box. Between the PO Box, a Telstra mobile wifi thingo (no Voda coverage in the house) and three weeks of mobile data we ended up spending about $500 It's just so good to be in though, loving single storey living, loving all the space and the newness of the finishes. And the kitchen is a dream. The communication hassles with PD and the major headache over the bench are fading into the past. Did you do your under-unit lighting in the kitchen yourself? It looks really affective and is something we would like to do as our builder couldn't offer us this option Building with Simonds in S.A Re: Building Porter Davis "Livingstone" in SE Melbourne 65Jul 11, 2016 8:07 am Marshall5858 Your place looks beautiful, I love your furnishing choices as well as your kitchen. Under-unit lighting was done by the builder, we had a (very!) basic DIY IKEA version at our old place and my husband made sure they could do it properly here. It's a shame your builder couldn't offer it! Have u found any companies that service the area? Re: Building Porter Davis "Livingstone" in SE Melbourne 67Dec 20, 2016 7:11 am PerryFamily Are you guys on the NBN network ? Have u found any companies that service the area? I only just saw this! The whole estate is on fibre to the home, you have to call Opticomm to get it connected first. Would recommend booking that in soon because it took us three weeks for them to arrive... and since we don't get Vodafone 3G inside we had to buy a Telstra prepaid mobile wifi modem + data which was really expensive Building a Porter Davis Livingstone 23 in Mayfield, Cranbourne East | Our thread 18/05/15 - Contract Signed 24/12/15 - Land Settlement 30/1/16 - Slab poured 9/06/16 - Handover Re: Building Porter Davis "Livingstone" in SE Melbourne 68Dec 21, 2016 5:46 am Thank you I have started the process and considering changing our mobiles as they are With Optus Re: Building Porter Davis "Livingstone" in SE Melbourne 69Dec 21, 2016 9:14 am PerryFamily Thank you I have started the process and considering changing our mobiles as they are With Optus Opticomm aren't a service provider, they just do the connection for the service provider. You need to find one with a fibre to home plan - the list is here https://www.opticomm.net.au/my-connecti ... 2b45b-70f0. We're with iiNet and find it pretty reliable. Yeah I think we will have to change our mobiles to Telstra though as there isn't a lot of Optus coverage... We are going iprimus they are covering the cost of the connection to opticom Re: Building Porter Davis "Livingstone" in SE Melbourne 72Dec 23, 2016 7:59 am tdk14 Love your interior style/design! Can I ask what flooring you've got there? Thank you! It's Bolero laminate Rustic Nougat. Super hardy (I figure, because they had it in the display home!)... everyone thinks it's hardwood & surprised when we say it's laminate Building a Porter Davis Livingstone 23 in Mayfield, Cranbourne East | Our thread 18/05/15 - Contract Signed 24/12/15 - Land Settlement 30/1/16 - Slab poured 9/06/16 - Handover Re: Building Porter Davis "Livingstone" in SE Melbourne 73Dec 23, 2016 8:00 am PerryFamily thewoodies PerryFamily Thank you I have started the process and considering changing our mobiles as they are With Optus Opticomm aren't a service provider, they just do the connection for the service provider.
